I'm doing it all too often - annoying as anything.
Me too!!

No way can I be the only one here.. anyone find themselves taking a screen shot of the phone when picking it up? I'm thinking Apple should make it to you press the volume button and touch the screen and power button at the same time.. sometimes I grab my phone from the top if I'm walking towards it and it screen shots.
It happens at least 2-3 times a day for me. So annoying.

Still not happened once to me, in this case you guys really are holding it wrong.

Happens to me all the time, apparently because I have the habit of locking the phone by pressing the side button when I put it down. Horrible design failure from Apple in my opinion. Indeed I guess I’m holding it wrong, or better yet maybe I just should leave the phone unlocked lying around.

Seriously don’t understand how you people are managing to do this, my iPhone X is in a very slim black case and the iPhone is a space grey model, in the dark I have a few times picked it up upside down, but not once now have I come close to pressing both one of the volume buttons and the side button at the same time while picking it up, putting down or just generally handling it, in fact not even one button press let alone two at the same time accidentally. Same goes for every other iPhone I’ve had. Seriously it’s almost as if you guys have those mechanical claws from those arcade machines for hands as if you don’t have full control and feel over them(forgive me if that is the case). Does your iPhone look and point up at you and say “The Claw” when you go closer to it?

And still doing it after owning the iPhone for months. I tend to use my iPhone X with my left hand and use the 2nd finger to push the power button so my thumb counterbalances on the other side. With my right hand, the thumb is strong enough on its own to push down the power button.

same here... all the time..
a combination of all 3 buttons or any other combo with the screen would already be less prone to accidental screenshots..

for people who are having a hard time 'not getting it', not sure why I bother but... it happens a lot when quickly muting alarms or calls or adjusting volume while the phone is still in your pocket, this used to work seamlessly with previous versions
Also locking the screen as already mentioned feels weird of you would only push it on one side like you are pushing it along.. so there we go
Phones with cases will have it a lot less as the buttons are less likely to be pressed accidentally..

the power button needs to be lower than the the volume buttons on the other side

Hopefully they change this in the next version but it doesn’t seem like that many people are having the problem or maybe they’re not bringing it up

Has anyone noticed that they are taking a ton of accidental screenshots with the X? The home button and volume button to screenshot are perfectly aligned - I keep finding myself squeezing the device right at those points and end up with lots of screenshots accidentally being taken.

Anyone else run into this issue too?

It is the most annoying thing about the iPhone X, it makes 3-10 screenshots a day and I have nothing to do, but to delete them. It happends with me all the time and I hate it.

It has happened to me once or twice when I was holding the phone awkwardly. But not really an issue.

I take so many accidental pictures too
And most of the time is when im locking or unlocking the phone
Its more annoying when you have to put time even though its 3 to 5 seconds, to delete an accident when you are doing a task on your phone
Totally waste of time
I go to my pictures and there is always tons of accidental screenshots there And i hate it
I hope apple do something about this in future.
Tell me how you lock your phone or turn off your screens while its sitting on your desk.
Im sure it happens to most of iphone x holders.

This happens now and then
By Apple extending the power button many people are grabbing the iPhone and squeezing the volume button and power button at the same time
Apple Needs to move the power button down a little. It would help
