5.8" but taller is basically the same size screen as the current 7... so going to stick with my 7 Plus until Apple offers a plus-sized version (6.4"+) to compete with the Note. Not going down in screen size for a few party tricks.

LOL...Nope, not lost. I know where I am. And not trying to hate. But don't come on stage and say you're changing the industry with something that has already existed for years.
Fine to say it's new to Apple, but don't say it's brand new technology changing the industry because it ain't.
The "ad" for the iPhone X was laughable. It was a bunch of colorful sand moving around on the screen. Apple must not be placing much effort into hiring quality marketing personnel anymore.
I was set on the X...but not anymore because -
1) First time Face Unlock Fail
2) $150 price increase to the next storage tier
3) Top bar looks horrible in some Apps

Touch ID is better than Face ID. Throughout the day I regularly turn on my iPhone to check messages, etc. It's on my desk so I only need to press the button with my thumb. With Face ID I would have to either pick it up or place my face over the phone.

My eyes were drawn to the "notch" thoughout presentation. I couldn't help it.
The "notch" wont be there in 2018 for iPhone XI so I see iPhone X as a compromise.
