Another comparison video...

X loads more Apps faster but S9 (European version) has better RAM management.

Why does Samsung have two CPU's anyway?

Not much faster, plus I find having better RAM management a bigger advantage since I jump from lots of apps.

Ram management isn't badly needed for my usage but there are times when it's important when copying and pasting from one site to another app for example.

Hopefully the iphone X plus comes with at least 4GB of ram

4GB of ram should make it as good as the S9 plus and note 8 with the 6GB of ram I imagine.

I would hope apple with the bigger device will give reason to give more ram

Minuscule difference in speed so it isnt worth even declaring a winner. Being a fraction of a second slower means nothing. Ill take the user experience even if the S9 had lost all of those.
Likewise even if the iphone x lost every test I would happier take it over any other device. End of the day people don't choose devices on what apps open quicker. It's how the phone suits your needs .

I don't remember having issues with RAM management on iOS 10 with the iPhone 7 Plus, so 4GB of RAM aren't really necessary for iOS in this case, the software needs to be fixed.

For whatever reason mine has always been abit bad to be honest. Instagram for one seems to refresh a fair bit

Some of the Apps were slower by a few seconds on the S9, some almost double the time of the X. I'd find this pretty annoying, but I'd also find poor memory management equally annoying.

Looks like both can still be improved in a big way....which is good for us as consumers. Fight!

The big surprise in this speed test is that s9 is faster in web based apps than iphone x ...where syntetic benchmarks shown another reality...

I'v posted this already in the S9 Thread, but i think it makes more sense to post it her.
Comparison between iPhone X (Top) and S9+ (Bottom).
This only a example but nearly every photo i took looks more pleasing on the iPhone X.
The S9+ Front Cam is so bad, it's not even worth mentioning.

I will send my S9+ back to Samsung, i like the iPhone X more.
Can't stand the Samsung UI, already had some animation stutters.
A S9+ with the Pixel Software would be a nearly perfect Phone.
When i hold both phones in my hand, the iPhone X looks like the future to me, the S9+ not so much.
Also using buttons for navigation feels weird when your used to the gestures on the iPhone X.

Yeah I’m in the same boat

Love Samsung hardware but software matters and the lack of updates bothers me. Pixel is all I would consider when buying an android phone now

Samsung has gestures too , your just not used to them. Im the opposite, using the iPad is weird when im used to a back button and just using Android the way i can.

The X to me just looks like an iPhone with a useless notch. Thats not the future, that was a mistake. But i do agree about those photos. Looks better on the X. I didnt get the 9+ so i hope mine takes better pics since it dont have the dual lens. My S7 takes good pictures.

Don’t think anybody has said the notch is the future but for now it’s moving towards that design and for Apple it’s needed on the iPhone for Face ID

Samsung with its Bixby and finger printer sensor location, as well as the whole chaos around updates drove me away. (Move the camera to the top maybe so there’s separation and room for FPS?)

Also on the S9+ you can only use 4K 60FPS for 5 Minutes and without optical zoom. This was compared to my iPhone X a huge downgrade.

I like the look of the notch more than the forehead and chin on my S9+.

I have both the X and the S9+ and I can't decide which one to keep. The screen on the S9+ is outstanding and I'm bored of iOS but love the hardware. I enjoy the ecosystem but becoming bored with lack of customisation in iOS and learning that there'll be no new major redesigns of iOS until 2019 fills me with dread.

Lol some of you get too hung up on bezels. The iPhone has had some if the biggest bezels and people still bought it by the millions so I'm just going to assume bezels are only a big deal in here.
