There are a ton of Apps not optimized for the tablets in the play store where as Apple has a ton.

From my usage of the music app on an ipad last year, the app is not optimized for large screens. There is so much white space when looking at a list of songs, with songs that have long titles being truncated. Why doesn't Apple not truncate the song titles and use some of that white space.

LOL, at you labelling fast charge a band aid, my Note 4 has great battery life, so its no band aid for it, what it is is in the name, and it does it well even from a PowerBank.

- It does need it.
-I use it.
-Thats not app to app sharing.
-I do, so do you, you use the weather widget
-I've been using Fast Charge in my Note 4 since launch, in Oct 2014, no issue here.

.....bye.
Just wait until Apple adopts fast charge. Then they'll say it's "revolutionary".

And fast charging isn't a bandaid. A bandaid is building the design disaster that is the iPhone charging case for iPhone 6/6s. It is a complete admission that the iPhone isn't good enough and a complete breakdown of Apple philosophy

/thread. Seriously. No Apple fan boy can knock QC or Turbo Charge when Apple had their own crap. And TC/QC is no band-aid by any means.

However .... Fast charging is already officially supported on the iPhone 6 upwards. Simply use an iPad charger and it will fast charge at 2.1mAh.

That is what I started doing on my iPhone 6 and now on my 6s Plus. I have an iPad mini 2 charger in my bedroom and a quality Belkin 2.1 mAh charger in my living room. They fast charge my devices in a short period of time.

My beef? A product released before is superceded from updates by the following device that has the latest software and most manufacturers/carriers don't step up to the plate for support of the latter one.

Actually that's not true at all. There is only 12-15 minutes difference my 6P and 6S+ charging both with their respective fast chargers .. That's all, and going from sub 10% - 100%

The "Fast Charging" is definitely faster than 2.1A charging. The Nexus 6P has a huge battery compared to the 6S+ (because Android power management is AWFUL).

The iPhone 6S+ has 80% of the battery capacity of the Nexus 6P and gets 100% better battery life - screen on time and standby. Even 6.0 power management is pathetic on Android.

/I'm going to go plug in my S6 Edge + again, because I barely used it this morning and it's already at 68%.

 WOW the 6s plus gets 11-12 hours SOT?! I wasn't aware it was that good. I am assuming that is what you're implying since I get 5.5-6 hours SOT on my 6p.

In logging SOT on my 6s Plus 11 times, I have averaged 7.24 hrs. While not double the 4 hours that others are getting on the 6p, it is pretty close.

6.5-7 hours would be about what I get on my 6S+ and what I find more important personally to me is that it's consistent regardless of what I do myself on it. Whereas my battery life on all the android devices I have had and there are lots, has been generally random. Some days surprisingly great, the next disappointing despite same usage pattern.

LOL please. The 6s plus can game for 5-6 hours straight. 7-8 hours plus a whole day of standby is easy for the 6s plus. That's browsing videos and music and stuff. The 6p gets half of that.

It's really quite easy to see when every android device puts these massive 3500mah batteries in the phone and STILL gets poor battery life that the problem is the crappy OS... AKA android.

/my s6 edge plus is fantastic hardware and camera but it would be 2x better running iOS.

I am curious too, have not seen any reliable ways to track SOT on iOS

I dont doubt the 6S+ is best, but I doubt 7-8 hours SOT, u mention music, but that is not SOT and the system counts that as 'usage'

if you're just talking about a looping video test, you can find plenty of android phones that can do that on the phonearena / gsmarena tests

You know what's funny, the galaxy s6 active blows the 6s plus away in battery life. Not to mention the mate 8, where the 6s plus is no comparison in battery life.

7.24 hrs of actually usage and not the phone and not the phone sat on the homescreen and you with a timer?

Duuno why i'm posting in this trash troll thread anyway.

I agree. That's been my experience with android phones. Admittedly on some days battery life has been good but then the next day it can be Rubbish for no apparent reason. I preferred when you could carry a spare battery around as you couldn't get caught out by rogue battery days.

IPhone plus models usually hover around 7 hours SOT.

Doesn't the s6 active have like a 3500 battery? The mate 8 is impressive but it has a bigger battery too and it's newer.

Yes the s6 active does. It also has a quad hd screen. Takes much more battery the keep it powered.

The mate 8 is newer by 4-5 months, so what?
I recall you here praising the A9 when it is 6 months newer than exynos processors and don't see 6 months as a big deal (neither do I). But now 4-5 months is a big deal because it does not favour the iPhone?
