The op is either a troll or is simply clueless. The fact not a single person has agreed with him tells you everything about it. The 11 is better in almost everything barring the display and design. And one gb of ram more is clearly important, especially when we are talking about devices lasting a good chunk of years.
Night mode alone is worth it having the 11 over the XR.

I have the XR 64GB (upgraded from the 7 128).

Before I’m trolled about having a ‘terrible, slow old iPhone’:

I have PWM sensitivity, so I had to stick with an LCD iPhone. When others braver than me with the same issue upgrade (or take a look in store) I’ll be interested to see if this issue has gone away as the OLED panels seem to be the same ones used in the 11 pro.

Then the 11 didn’t seem like a significant upgrade over the XR to justify the expense. The XR is still pretty fast (despite a few comments here). And I’d rather have the telephoto lens than the ultra wide so that didn’t seem a sacrifice.

I use streaming services and iCloud for my photos & don’t have too many apps so I’m only using 24 GB of storage.

Would I recommend the XR to someone in 2020 though?

I’d say, to get the iPhone 11 if price is a consideration & you can’t stretch to the 12 (and if you have PWM issues).

However, if your budget is constrained, you just take a few snaps once in a while and you want the full screen modern experience on the iPhone but don’t use it for hours on end each day - then the XR is fine (but you should still get the 11 if you can!).

Sorry to break it to you mate, the 11 has no new features over the XR except camera enhancements. The other pathetic things mentioned in this thread, such as extra ram and a brighter flash (pmsl over that one) are not new features they are tweaks, unlike for instance the new features going from the 11 to 12 or 7 to X
