I spotted an X in the wild just before, the notch was a dead giveaway.
I still think it looks hideous and the edge to edge moniker is just plain exaggerated...

Honestly due to the notch I don't think people will get the x confused with the S8 at all. the x is what a 2017 device should be in terms of screen/bezels/look
No it isn't.

The bezels are huge, the screen comprimised and the camera bump hideous.

The Pixel XL 2 is a better example of modern smartphone direction. Simplicity, functionality and practicality.

This modern obsession with form over function really needs to die.

I like the Pixel 2 design. It’s utilitarian and industrial looking. For me it’s not about what the device looks like it’s how it performs and the software.
