I also have lymphedema. Fortunately not in my watch arm. However, the loop bands are ideal for this! You can adjust them all day if you want/need, and you can get the Milanese loop style or the leather loop style. I like them so much better than any kind of buckle now.

That's what I was thinking! Fortunately I rarely have swelling (my armpit is my main problem area but when that gets bad my arm starts to swell), but I've had some lately. I actually like to have something with a band on that wrist (Fitbit Flex > Misfit Flash > Apple Watch). The band fitting tighter than normal often warns me of swelling before I can physically feel it. Then I can get on the MLD before it gets worse. I'm so glad there are band options that adjust easily.

Just another way my Watch is helping my health. ;)

Ooooo. I already ordered the modern buckle. I hope your wrong Clix Pix, cause now I'm anxious about it. I don't want to constantly worry it's going to fall off & plummet to the ground every minute..

I should clarify that I think it'll be fine while on the wrist, properly fastened; I was thinking more of when it's off the wrist, actually. Didn't mean to alarm anyone!

Perfect.. Just really excited about it & thought I may have chosen the wrong band. . Thank you so much Clix Pix.

I've had my soft pink modern buckle for about 3 weeks now. It's very secure on my wrist and I've never worried about it falling off.

I really like my modern buckle it's surpassed my classic buckle as my favourite band. I'm going to get another one now that they are readily available. Either the midnight blue or the brown. I think I need to see both in person before I order though.

So let me start off by saying I'm a guy who checks in to this thread periodically because you ladies got pretty great taste in Apple watch accessories. I love the modern buckle band, and I'm so happy that it recently became available to buy solo. Alas, I have the 42mm watch so I had an idea a few weeks ago and I'd like to run it past yas. I was thinking about buying the modern buckle and unscrewing the adapter it came with to replace with a 42 mm adapter. Do you think this would work? Would the band look to skinny for the watch? Would it even fit? Thanks in advance any feedback!! :)

It *might* look a little off but you could try making a mockup to get a better idea. My band seems to be 3/4" wide where it attaches to the adapter and narrows very slightly to the buckle (maybe 1/16" narrower at the buckle). It is also very thin...only 1/16" thick (although it is twice as thick just where it attaches to the adapter).

The other problem is with the length. Be sure the band is long enough for your wrist. And if your wrist would easily fit the small size of the modern buckle band, swap the 42mm watch for a 38 mm one and enjoy all the modern buckle bands! ;)

Thanks for the info. I was wondering how wide the MB was, and 3/4" seems workable(even if it does taper slightly). As far as it fitting, I would have to go with the large size as my wrists are 170 mm. No way the small would fit me ;)

Well that settles it! :)

I really like the modern buckle (even at the high price). My only problem is the size. My wrist is 165mm which puts me in between the medium and large. I purchased the large but it bugged me that it would migrate down my arm a little. So I exchanged it for a medium and am happier...even if I use it on both the last and the next-to-last hole.

I find it elegant and the buckle itself clever. Plus, Michelle19, it is very secure. Yeah!

Uccle, have you received already? I too have a 165mm wrist and I ordered the large. I was afraid there wouldn't be enough overlap of the band for it to be secure with the Med. Now I'm wondering if I ordered the right size.

Hi Javabird! Yes, I was lucky that an Apple Store near me had the brown modern buckle in stock so I canceled my online order and picked up a large in the store.

I first tried on the modern buckle at a store back in May. It seemed the large was the best option since I was on the last hole on the medium and I was concerned that in hot weather or after wearing for awhile that it would be too tight. So everyone agreed large would be the best choice.

BUT, after wearing it for a day I was annoyed that it was just a *smidge* too large and would move down on my arm a little.

So today I went back to the store, tried on a medium *again* and decided that it was a better size for me. After wearing it today I'm happier with the medium, but it is a tricky choice. We are in the middle. I like my band snug (or at least that is how I'm wearing my sports band so that is what I'm now used to).

Unfortunately I can't advise you except to say maybe you have to order and try both. I know this is wasteful and I'd not suggest this normally, but if you are right in between sizes just a little difference in size and personal preference can make the difference and there is no way to tell until you use it.

Oh, I'm going to hate myself for this post...

I really didn't like the ML when I first got it. I purchased it because I was desperate for a dressier band as I originally only had the sports band and it didn't look like the modern buckle was ever going on sale by itself. The reason I didn't like it was because it looked grey and not stainless. It looked dull.

But I was wrong. In the daylight it isn't as grey. Plus I often (when out and about...not when at my computer) wear my watch on the inside of my wrist. This leaves the ML on the outside which, when paired with some wrap bracelets, looks great IMHO. And, given my sizing issues, I love the fact that it is infinitely "sizeable".

Sorry...don't want to feed anyone's obsession except my own!

Thanks, that's very helpful. I guessI'll need to go into the store and try both sizes -- I was just so excited I could finally order one :)

Yes, you read that right. Just found these and thought I'd share. Seems a little pricey for a sticker, but some of them are really pretty.

Oh Allie, darn you; you've lured me.
I just pull the plug and ordered a couple of these.
How long did it take for them to arrive? And have you gotten the chance to install on your Watch yet?

IIRC, it took about 2.5 weeks. I have not installed one yet. (They come two to a package.) I was hoping they were clear, but the background is white. I may wait until after my Bohemian band arrives, so it won't clash so much. (Cancelled first order for Bohemian leather loop and ordered from another seller.)

Oh crap. I really hope it has the clear background as I'd like to keep the stainless exposed.
I'll shoot them up a message to cancel I guess.

I first saw Mac2me suggest Lucrin, then Jmona's heart was about to explode. ;)
Well OF COURSE my heart still wants to explode! Much to my dismay the husband won't allow me to spend more on bands for the next couple of months so I'll have to do something about this addiction. Apple Watch Band Addicts not so Annonymous much?!
Look at this band! Just look at it and tell me you don't like it. I DOUBLE DARE YOU!!!

On another note, has anyone noticed these printed Leather Hoco Bands on eBay? I know I'm on a short leash but; I've saved the link so that I can have something festive comes Nov- Thanksgiving-December and I can order the last one (being the green and red one) but I also like the bohemian look.
