True, are you going to order any of their bands? I am interested in the purple one but they don't come out until September.

I pre-ordered the purple one when they were expecting it the end of July. I had them just leave it as pre-order since I can wait until mid-September. When the package arrived today, I thought maybe they had come sooner than expected. Still looking forward to the purple one in a few weeks.

So. Hey everyone!
Sorry I've been MIA for a couple of days. Just being real busy around here!

I just got an email from ActionProof that their Bumper is actually available at Amazon now and it qualifies for free shipping on Prime.
I'm still wishing they made one for 38mm adopters. God knows I need a good case since my SS is starting to show really annoying stress hairline scratches.

Anyways, here's the link:

I finally have two more bands en route: a black mesh loop and the "bohemian" leather loop. Very excited about both. I finally forced myself to change bands this week. I love my red leather loop, but it just doesn't go with everything, so I'm back to the pink and black until the new ones arrive.
That's awesome Alli! Please let us know how you like it. Those are the Bohemian Leather Loops we talked about earlier? I really like the purple one but I haven't ordered since I knew you had ordered one and was waiting to hear how you liked it!

That's an AWESOME find! I'm wondering if we would later be able to buy our own Leather Bands to use with the Modern Buckle adapters from the center wrist (the main buckle) for I would love buying whatever colors available if I could actually do this. Bummer they don't have the soft pink and brown yet for id love very much to get those 2!

And on the flip side of that, I love it. I love seeing all the pictures & where to buy them from.. I appreciate all your posts Jmona & have actually bought things from hers & others recommendations...
I haven't noticed any spamming at al. Please keep up the ideas.. Some love it .

Thank you SO MUCH! You have no idea how much I appreciate that!
On another note I'm just doing what you all ladies and some Gents would do. A girl can be a tech enthusiast just as many men and if anything it's on us to bring up all these awesome styles.

Now, if only Apple would hurry up and release the extra colored sport bands. For what I've been hearing hose are the Gold Plated Sport Bands and will cost a pretty penny. A Navy Blue would be awesome as well as soft pink. So far someone in the Great Third Party Band thread posted some other colors from a different vendor that include red and yellow I believe but still I'd love an official Navy blue, orange, soft pink and even purple.

Griffin now has some Ultra Thin Cases for the Watch, as well as a Survivor Tactical version. I like that it's thin, but not so sure about the way it looks. Prices reasonable though.

I have to say I love the fact that you can get 3 thin bumpers for $19.99 since I actually ended up paying about $32.00 for my Defense Edge by XDoria and it was an okay investment but not the best. Now the Survivor case looks good but I do wished they had more colors and a better inner body protection like other cases out there.
Other than that, I think Broadbean, I'm ordering the polished Thin bumpers so I can mis it up a little with some gold tone bands.

Do you like the openings though? I'm not sure it looks that great next to the Digital Crown. Would be interesting if the polished gold/silver look like metal at a glance, or very plasticky.

The silver would look great with the crown. Other colors not so much.
Also about the openings, specially around the Crown, the XDoria Defense Edge is the same in exception it has a soft inner wall that protects your watch from getting scratched.
This is from the first post, my watch btw.

One of the forum members Ultraz33 is sporting a nice Colors case from SwitchEasy.
Here it is. Check it out.
For more stuff on his experience, check this link:

While I wait for my Supcase; Unicorn Beetle Pro Case from Brillotech (a seller from Amazon) I just received this case made by Switcheasy, ordered from Amazon. It's a TPU case that protects the watch pretty well. Also has a lip that protect the screen too. And as a bonus, it comes with 3 buttons to even customize it further.
Comes in 3 colors, I got the black one and it matches the black sports band pretty well.

And it's all for $14.99 plus shipping.

I've not been a watch case person but understand the need for some people to seek them out depending on their usage at times. That said I tend to be more attracted to those that don't really change the elegant look of the watch as I see it and so when I saw the Ozaki O!coat I checked them out on Amazon. I was surprised however to read that they issue a Caution that they are not recommended for use with the SS Apple Watch or Apple Watch Edition. Wonder what gives with that?

http://www.amazon.com/Plated-Apple-...=merchant-items&ie=UTF8&qid=1440780652&sr=1-1

I have a white sport band and kind of liked the look of the O!coat in silver and gold on the watch they showed on the Amazon page. I do check in this thread every so often so will be keeping my eyes out for anything else along those lines.

I have the SS 42 and can see maybe wanting a little protection on occasion for the metal base. I just ordered off ebay one of the clear flexible silicon covers, seemed well made with the cutouts: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271921096142?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

Also I guess I should mention I won't buy anything with the company name emblazoned on the product. Eliminating products like Baseus Slim transparent soft TPU cover. One of the things I love about Apple in general and my Nomad watch stand for example. The design and its quality should sell it by itself. People who like the product will see it and ask you about it and word of mouth can be some of the best advertising. As you can tell I'm very picky about this kind of stuff, even though it's a tiny watch cover!

Thanks Broadbean for the Griffin Ultra slim cases. The shiny silver might be a possibility if there's no logo on it. Not a fan of the champagne gold and can't decide without seeing the shiny gold if I like it. Hoping Griffin can be found in a store somewhere as I don't like to order online and then return. I did notice when I went to the Griffin site that they only show these cases with a sport watch. Is this because these plastic cases like the O!coat are likely to scratch the polished finish of the SS model? If so might limit me to the type of case I just ordered.

Thank you ladies for posting the suggestions on the watch cases. I've been delaying purchasing one, but after the near miss of damaging my watch repairing an exhibit I have to order. My husband doesn't see the need, feels I should take it off and keep in pocket. Never going to happen, "you don't put baby in the corner!"☝

Thank you!!!

Are you ladies using screen protectors? I'll be getting the Apple watch sport and I really like the xdoria defense edge bumper but don't think it's covers the screen.

It doesn't. I posted earlier what it looks like.

In regards of screen protectors, I know they're pricey but BSE Best Skins Ever are by far the best out there since they cover the rounded corners of the screen. Here you can see what it looks like on after 2 weeks. The corner on top is lifted but that's because I put my watch through lots of crap and on the bottom right side you can see the screen protector but IMHO they are worth it every penny.
At first I was upset because I ruined several trying to instal but that was my human error.

I don't use one. I bought a SS model because I'm pretty clumsy and I knew I'd probably be bumping things. So far I'm pretty happy with it.

Well. This guy (see below post) on the Show off your Watch thread also has the SS and look at what happened to his sapphire screen.
I know many don't care for the protection but in all honesty, it's better safe than sorry.

Showing off my scratched sapphire screen..
Haven't been too adventurous with the watch and that bad ass scratch serves against the purpose of going for steel instead of a sport

I like poetic's clarity, but Griffin's multi-pack gives me the opportunity to change out. So what I think I may do while at work is invest in Jmona's post on the ActionProof case with bare skin cover and the Griffin Multi-pack on days I know I don't have to get gritty with exhibits.

Here's one that I think looks a little different, at least the 38mm version from HyperLink (Hat tip to bigdog5142).

It's made from 316L stainless steel, and comes in 42mm and 38mm, $49 from Kickstarter:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/hypershop/183075220

Here's the MacRumors review, https://www.macrumors.com/review/hyperlink-apple-watch-review/

but the pictures shown here are from Susie Ochs via Twitter. Notice it's slimmer than the Milanese Loop. Wonder if my wife would like it, especially since it's so slim.

I finally ordered a knockoff white sports band from Amazon for 11 bucks - it had a lot of good reviews so I figured i'd give it a try. I ordered the 38 MM SS with ML but really wanted the link band so after buying two knock off link bands I splurged on the real thing (wish I would have waited a little bit longer b/c the new clones look awesome). The link band is loose even with all 8 links gone but looks nice - like a big bracelet (I have small wrists 140MM). The ML has to be wrapped as tight as it can be and just looks awkward so I haven't worn that at all since I got my first link knock off.

I have to say the white sports band I ordered feels better - I can make it fit my wrist and it looks sharp with the white band against the SS. I did switch back to my link bracelet for a fancy installation ceremony I had to dress up for but as soon as we were home I switched back to my sports band knock off. I think I'm definitely going to get the modern buckle soon - I actually tried that one on in the store and it fit my wrist perfectly (the small band on the very last hole). Here's the link - http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P0B3SSU?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00
I guess I got lucky - I paid 11.99 and I see the new price is 13.99 but still an awesome deal.

I got the updated .5/1 version of the link today. Gaps ares still prevalent but they're at the clasp and they're secure so it doesn't bother me as much. However, I like that instead of just removing 2 links per side for the 38mm link clone, you can now remove 4 per side making the band just the perfect fit for your smaller wrist.
I bought these from Freedomoclock / Richard on eBay. Again as always best service EVER!
I wished there were no gaps existent in the clones but until there is a 1/1 clone that is worth the money, I'm more than glad to invest in this one.
This band although not the best for some, it's keeping me from buying the OEM version. The couple gaps you see don't bother me at all (thanks OCD meds!) and I like it that now, compared to the last one, this one fits snugged on to my tiny wrist so fits much better.

I recommend it if you want a band for now and if you don't mind the possibility of getting an item that more than likely will have a few gaps.
If you want the perfect band; then it'll costs $490 from the apple site.
I'm enjoying this one and the ML clone a lot alright! ️ Totally recommend it!
