I have spoken about the problem with losing contact between skin & sensors while wearing double tour band on page 27, post 664. I thought it might be because I had just gotten my iPhone 6s, but it wasn't. I tried wearing the extra loop behind the watch (toward elbow), and experienced the same problem as you did with the extra loop slipping under the watch. When you posted the idea for a different orientation for the crown with the extra loop being worn in front of the watch (toward my hand), it worked perfectly! Thank you for your suggestion!

I do, however, experience "false" haptics using the double tour band. Has anyone else experienced this same problem?

I'm so glad my review helped you. I haven't given up on the double tour just yet. I'm going to play around with it a bit more tomorrow and see how I get on. Another idea I had was to switch and have the long end coming out the top instead of the bottom. That way the buckle part would be on the inside of my wrist instead of outside. Not sure if you are following or if it'll make a difference, but I'm going to try it. The fitness tracking is very important for me so the sensor being iffy is not an option. I really like the digital crown being used with my thumb so don't want to change the orientation either. We shall see. The cuff should be here next Monday from China ...
I didn't experience any false haptics when wearing it on Thursday.

Thanks. I did try wearing the double tour w/buckle & keeper next to my skin. It felt somewhat awkward. I don't think Apple really thought through the way the watch would fit using the double tour band on the Hermès Double Tour ⌚️ - it just looked "pretty".

O I don't know, I meant like personal picture. I would totally use pictures of my dog and his various activities! But not sure if that would work

Sorry for such a late response :) Seeing as you mentioned your dog I thought I would use a picture I love of my brother's cat to see how a pet picture would go with it. I think it looks quite nice :)

Thanks for sharing and glad you are happy with it! Looks like they've improved production from the early bands people posted. How long did it take you to get yours from order to delivery?

I don't remember them offering band material colors. That's nice. Any chance we can see a photo from the side of the band too? Since I know the design is printed on the band, I'll be curious to see how the band holds up to getting scratched, scuffed and cleaned. Please give us an update down the road. The appeal of customizing a band is definitely there.

Sorry I didn't get these pictures sooner :) you'll have to excuse the grubby watch. Needs a clean
It would appear that the print is only a thin layer on top however I'd like to think unless I get a deep scratch it will be unlikely for the inner side to show through for quite a while... I hope :p

Totally agree. Form over function :/.

Pretty sure Apple didn't design the strap, it was all Hermès.

I wasn't intimating that I thought Apple designed the band. I was just saying that, IMHO, the "powers that be" didn't think carefully about the function (as 3under2 suggested) when choosing the Hermès double tour for use with the ⌚️.

Welcome back Jmona. I love those colored milanese bands. Where did you order them? I like this band from ultra-case.com but not the white strap holder. Another I ordered has the same thing. I used my markers on this one and a spray of matte fixative. I have worn it a lot without fading or wearing. They have a black polka dot one that is precious, but they don't show the back of the band and I won't be caught again. Whoops. Found click here for the bands.

Yesterday was my last day of my return window for the watch. After much deliberation, I decided to spend the extra couple hundred dollars and go from the Rose Gold Sports to the SS Apple Watch. It feels and looks so much more premium, at least in my opinion. It came with the Product Red band. Unfortunately the first one I had was a brick that displayed the red exclamation point when attempting to do the software update plus the battery wouldn't charge. After much frustration, I went back to the Apple Store and exchanged it for a working model. Took a while for the software update, but all worth it. I have a picture of it with my purple Sports band if anyone is interested.

I got a 1/1 Hermes non OEM.
Unfortunately because I am hospitalized, I can't provide you better pictures of it.
I know Scarlet mentioned that the band would tuck in under the sensor.
Thankfully I'm yet to have that dilemma and maybe as she mentioned it could have more to do with placement; it could also have something to do with how narrow the band is as well.
IMHO , It is definitely one of the most comfortable bands ever worn and it's very pretty for not saying sexy.
However I have 1 problem with it besides the aforementioned with the skin peeling off like every leather wear and situation and that is the band is too thin. Maybe 20mm? Doesn't look like the typical 22mm opposed to the original Hermes and of course you know the size dwindles as it narrows down. So that is my only gripe but other than that is very good.
I'll never order from said seller again though, because it was stuck in customs over 2 weeks then in Denver for another 10 days and that alone drove me nuts.

Looks great Jenn. I hope you feel better soon. Xx

I don't know if people are on Facebook, but I started an Apple Watch Band Group there. It's called Apple Watch Band Junkies. Check it out. Goal is to post pics and reviews of third party bands. I love the forum but I'm on FB more. :/

I received this band yesterday and am most pleased with it! The quality of the leather is superb and the workmanship of the stitching is on a par with my Hermès Apple Watch band. I special ordered it on 10/21, so that was a pretty fast turnover! The communication with the seller was spot on, too. The difference in width between his band and the Hermès band is that his are 21/21mm and the Hermès are 20/17mm. I find it that his band is much easier to wear - no slipping of second wrap around on double tour behind the watch sensors. His bands also come in three sizes - small, regular, & long, choose according to your wrist size. Even though my wrist is 6.5", I chose the small because I didn't want a looong loop slipping through the keeper, reaching to the body of the Apple Watch. I chose because of this note from him:

"Our watch band regular size:
Long end=13"(330ml), short end= 3" (75ml)

Short size:
Long end=11 1/2'(290ml), short end=3' (75ml)"

Another Hermès double tour band I have is a total of 15" and it is about 2" too long. (BTW, I have no affiliation with this seller. I'm just that impressed with his band!). He also told me that the chocolate leather with smoky white stitching on his website is very close to the Hermès Fauve Barenia.
