"Ask This PDF" : I really really really want this feature 🤩

You have to be super careful that your documents don’t have data that is profitable to someone else. You working on next movie screenplay and you upload it to a tech company’s AI. Some guy there who manages to see your script will 100% modify it with an LLM and sell it before you know it.

How about the knowledge that your OS isn't parsing every piece of info you give it to search for monetisable data?

Isn't that worth anything to you?
You were saying LMFAO

Apple's WWDC Developer conference is in June buddy! I watched Google's I/O Keynote today! Most of the features Google announced today are vaporware and do not launch until June anyway!

You may want to Google the term "vaporware". The Android 15 Beta is updating today, and June is literally 2 weeks away. Youre acting like its 2026.

You’re on an Apple fan site, you know.

Also, Apple Maps works well enough, and is much better looking. I prefer it—by a wide margin.

Also read as: "It may not be right sometimes and get me lost, but its heck'n pretty and that matters more!"

Is that REALLY your argument? I could not care if a map is the most ugly thing in existence. The POINT of it is to get me where I'm going with the most accurate direction for the method of travel I'm using.

What new original idea has Apple actually been successful with can you actually name at least a few?
Google on the other hand need to take this approach to get people to use their products.
There is actually more google users to Apple users out there so something must work
You mean like Find My that android copied last month?

Looks cool.
Apple is so far behind Android now, while still over priced.
The pixel 8a cheaper phone has 120 Hz refresh while Apples don't. C'mon Apple.

Totally. I currently use it on public documents with ChatGPT, it's a hit or miss. Sometimes it's really surprising. Of course I have to validate everything just to make sure.

But this is why I also wish Apple would use its neural engines and do most if not every AI treatment completely offline. I wouldn't trust Google nor OpenAI to leak or use my own work for something else.

I’ll say that my friend has the new s24 ultra and when my phone got stolen at Coachella the pictures weren’t entirely terrible that he took. Not as good as my iPhone but I wasn’t bothered by posting them. There I said something positive (though that’s more about the phone. The software on android is terrible)

Well this comment aged well....
That's a bug, not a product released and discarded.

It’s funny because Apple is so far behind these features it’s hilarious.

iOS is literally fisher price OS compared to Android with AI.

Photos search, circle to search, Gemini assistant etc are utterly amazing and nothing iOS has right now compares.

But hey, we’re getting another button!
I completely agree. We have GPT4o, Astra, Gemini, Firefly, Midjourney, Sora, Dall•E, Veo, Imagen, Agents, not to mention some physical stuff as Astribot S1, Tesla Optimus 2, Boston Dynamics Atlas 2 etc.

And we have Siri that cannot find Steven in my contacts when I ask to set timer for cooking eggs in the year 2024 🪦

I can't imagine ever wanting my phone to tell me what I should be texting people.

It doesn't seem like a high bar to think up 6 words at a time without requiring my phone to suggest those 6 words so I can approve them.

But this is the future, neat.

Well google is free and you are the product. I’m not sure you are making the point you want to make.
Maybe you should have read the previous post & then it would make sense to you
Google have to launch new products & software all the time because that’s how their company operates
Unlike Apple who can sit back & wait for a product to become successful & then implement it.
Because let’s face it if Apple launched toilet paper some people would buy it.
