yes mine looks like that. ordered one more time to see if the next one is better. is your edition extremely smooth? I wonder if it gets less smooth over time
Yeah it has almost no texture to it. Here’s some pics next to my midnight apple case for the 13pro and the alto leather case. They both have a lot more texture than the lonli. I’m ok with it being a little more slippery but it does seem like it scratches easier than the other cases I have.
On the previous page there’s pictures of a brown one and the volume buttons don’t look like ours so maybe a bad batch. I may try to wait till Amazon gets some more brown ones to order again.

I finally received a Lonli Edition in black — non-max version. It fits very, very tight; so tight that I had a hard time getting it off again. The buttons are a bit wonky and are all very hard to press. This wasn't the case with the Classic. I'm sending the Edition back. It looks like a rush job.

I have the Classic in brown and the Alto case in green, and I'm going to keep both of those. But, honestly, I'm mostly using non-leather cases right now. I have a couple I like. I think I'll wait a few months and see if anything new comes on the market. One thing I'm looking for is a lower lip around the screen. I don't use a screen protector — haven't since the iPhone 5 or so and have never had any scratches — and all of the cases seem to assume I will be using one and need a high lip to clear it.

Got my eBay “Apple Leather” Pacific Blue case today. I can’t believe how similar it looks to a genuine case. I have no doubt that the leather is actually PU leather (i.e., not real leather), but it feels fine to me. Maybe I’ll put some leather conditioner on it later to give it some of that leather smell.

Pictured is next to my black Finewoven case. I actually like the Finewoven case that I’ve been using since Day 1, but for less than $20, I had to try the eBay case. I will say that the Finewoven feels slimmer than the eBay leather case. I‘ll rock the eBay case for a bit to see how it does, but may switch back to the Finewoven. Or maybe not.

Edit: someone in another thread mentioned that these are TPU made to look like leather, and I think they are right. Can’t scratch the case with my fingernail, suggesting it is plastic.

Phone 15 pro max came in today, and the Nomad case came in yesterday. Fits perfectly. Buttons are all nice, cutouts are perfect. Got the Modern Leather Rustic Brown.
I like the Nomad modern leather but it does add some height to the device compared to other cases, all in the name of lanyard loops. I’d love to know the percentage of people who use this functionality…can’t be more than 5%. Putting the Nomad next to any other case, it’s taller (unnecessarily IMO).

Only drawback for this case for me. Prefer the Spigen Liquid Air or Sheath form factors. Buttons are amazing and the TPU/leather mix is done well.

I was a reliable Apple leather case person. Leather quality wasn’t a concern, but it was always the best form factor while providing grip.

I feel like Apple should have just gone with something like this...

I'm sure they could have come up with a great name to make it sound special.

I just received one of these fake Apple cases from eBay.

Whatever it's made of, it doesn't feel much different from the real deal Apple Leather case. The Apple Leather is a little bit softer. The fit is great, MagSafe works (ring shape is somewhat visible on the back when held up to a light), really no complaints so far. Especially considering the low price.

For those concerned about keeping things as light as possible, the knockoff leather case on the 15 Pro comes in at 33 grams so it is heavier than the iPhone 14 Pro Apple Leather case (26g) and the FineWoven 26g.

I had already purchased the Decoded Leather Case and since the weight and size are the same as this "Apple" case, I'm probably going to stick with the Decoded since it's real leather.

Thanks. I had a decoded case on my 13 pro, I think, but at the time, they only had a little D logo on the case, which happens to be my initial so it worked out. Now they have the full logo, I’m not interested. I prefer a logo less case if possible.

That said, I really notice the extra bulk of the eBay case vs the Finewoven case. I have a feeling I may just go back to the Finewoven eventually.

How to the edition and classic compare? Same dimensions just different leather! Is the classic lighter than alto?

The edition is very slippery and the classic is very grippy. I’m returning both because of misaligned buttons that are driving me crazy. I’ll just keep the decoded for now until Andar is ready which is now mid to late November.

Thoughts about this FLOLAB one?
Looks good and I like how the buttons are designed.

39.95 USD so also a decent price, hard to judge without seeing real pictures or videos about it though.
Doesn’t look bad! I’m going to keep an eye out for this one!

Bummer. My Classic arrives Monday. I hope the buttons are fine.

The only difference between the Edition and the Classic is the leather. The Edition is "premium European full grain leather." It's very smooth and I think would probably patina. The Classic is "Italian Napa leather from Gruppo Mastrotto tannery." It has a rough texture that is described as a small and irregular grain that will soften over time. Whether or not it will patina, I have no idea. It doesn't really smell like leather. The Alto is not as smooth as the Edition but much smoother than the Classic. It will definitely patina.

The Alto weights 31g. The Classic and the Edition both weigh 33g. So there's not a lot of difference in weight. They are all pretty light cases.

After having:
Lonli Classic
Lonli Edition
Andar
Decoded
My favorite is the Andar.
The feel is excellent. Slightly grippy when new.
As soon as the new version is released that’s what I’ll be getting. I’m not putting down the preorder because
I’m currently using the buttonless version. I am only using the button for mute right now so it’s not that important to have the button. Also, the one I received has sharp edges on the buttons.

The buttons on my lonli edition are pretty jacked. Hopefully the classic is better

When I had my classic and edition the buttons were perfect. They must be getting sloppy with high demand which is a shame because otherwise they are nice for the price.

What'd you do with the decoded?

I’m going to return it. I think it might be from a bad batch. The corners pop out far too easily. Even if that weren’t the case (), I would still return it as the feel is the same as the Edition and I prefer a grippier leather.

yeah I tried to return the decoded but they never email me back. Do you think the Andar pre order charges you now or when it ships?

I‘m looking for a case that offers sweet colors, basically the same color or at least similar like the Finewoven. Taupe and Mulberry look so nice! But most cases out there have boring colors or just different. Do you know of any cases that have the same or similar where the color just pops? The finewoven looks great colorwise but I won’t buy it as the quality is just garbage.
