Leather alternatives to FineWoven cases

I ordered one after seeing your post. It does look like a great leather case for much cheaper price. It already looks rough so not sure how it will age. I do like it better than the InUnion one that I also have. Packaging was nice and they even included a little leather patch to show the material that was used. :)

Magnets are weaker than Apple leather wallet or FineWoven wallet. Wallet easily detaches. I am using FW wallet or Apple leather wallet on my BS case and it works fine.

I sent an email to BS about the weak magnet with the wallet. They responded promptly on that weekend and asked for a video showing such, which I sent and never heard another word from them.

Curious if others see the same as me with the magnet strength.

Yes I had the BS wallet almost 2 years ago and returned it the same day due to magnet strength. It also added more bulk and held less cards than the Apple wallet.
 
Got the Lonli Classic today. Can't say I love it; quite a bit heavier and bulkier than the FineWoven. Think it's going back.

I have also noticed that at some point, Bullstrap out sourced their customer service department to China and they take a while to reply and when they do its between 1-3 a.m central time

Thanks for the response. I just fired off another email to them letting them know I was disappointed that I had received no response since providing the video as requested. I also let them know that I have spoken of this same thing on here.

If memory serves me correctly the BS CEO lurks on here and on the Reddit pages about Patina Proud. I want to say his name, or username at least, was Claudio. So I'm sure hes seen this.

BS is not the best by far. I messaged them about the open bottom and got the most off handed response ever.

"We have no plans to alter our design, thanks"

Not really surprised. I didn't have a good experience with them trying to do a warranty claim. Swore off them after that incident. Not going to pay those high prices only to have them not honor their warranty. Theres lots of other great options out there at a better price point anyways.
 
I received my mulberry Apple “leather” case from AliExpress today in the mail. I haven’t had a leather case since the 13 Pro Max so I don’t have one to compare it to. But I think it’s a nice case for what what paid for it. I can see some weird glossy look in the Apple logo but it’s not a deal breaker for the price. It feels nice, the color is nice, the buttons are nice, the cutouts are precise and clean. It also did the animation when putting it on. Besides the weirdness in the apple logo I wouldn’t question whether this was a real Apple product.

Anybody know where to find pink leather that isn't BullCrap? Oops, I meant BullStrap.

I had the same experience with BS. If you watch their warranty video it says free replacements ‘no questions asked’ which they obviously didn’t train the customer service people on because i got the third degree and also had to supply pictures. Then they finally agreed to send a replacement which I was meant to free grateful for. Never again…

that's disappointing. I won't get their wallet then.

I actually really wanted to get me a bull strap leather case, since they seem to be the only ones on the market with really nice colors. But the price is just a rip-off. And now they want to hike it up even further?! Also I have seen in some pictures here how the leather gets really dark after only one month. I originally really wanted the Dune color, it's the most beautiful leather case I've seen yet. But if that color gets so dark after just a short amount of time... what's the point? kinda disappointing ...

Does anyone know of similar colors, doesn't have to be real leather, I just want nice looking colors like a taupe or mulberry fine woven case color or the bs dune. Ive surely been looking up most case producers but haven't found anything that offers such colors so far ...
 
My mulberry iPhone 15 Leather Case with MagSafe also arrived today from our friends in China. I have to say I am very impressed. I have an iPhone 14 Leather MagSafe case (Ink) here for comparison and the new one really holds its own. Buttons are flush, colour is good, texture is good, fit is perfect (better than my fine woven case), MagSafe is a little weaker than the FineWoven, and while I have no idea if its actually leather, doing the sniff test between the both cases confirms neither smell like leather and both smell exactly the same. Packaging is very accurate, and it dawned on me that over the years as Apple has cheapened....sorry become more eco friendly, its probably become easier to copy more sucessfully.

How do the edges feel in hand? I have an Apple silicone case and it still feels sharp, even though Apple rounded out the edges.
 
Lonli Classic in Slate Gray on black 15PM and a comparison photo with black FW and 14PM Apple black leather. I'm liking it. No leather smell and a very slight grip which I think will improve with use.
