Particularly the mail fraud scene as someone suggested to purposely damage their case and file a claim. These companies just write it off

If a company isn't sending a warranty replacement due to quality issues, then you have to get a new case one way or another. They cost enough to start with afterall.

My fake FineWoven case has arrived, feels just as good as Apple's and was I think £13.

Buttons feel great, only weird thing is off-axis the back looks really damaged but not sure if Apple's also does this?

My second leather case also arrived, this looks to be the same as my first just without the Apple logo, or just is another copy. It smells slightly different but either way the buttons are great on this one and it was £4. I hold out hope that my fake Apple logo case still on the way has better buttons than the first one I got:

Really hard to capture accurate coloring on my 4-5 month old Bullstrap Dune patina, but here’s the best I could do. Bonus pics are a brand new Bullstrap Sienna.

Not exactly thrilled with the color currently. I’m hoping it eventually will look like the patina on their marketing photos. I’ve decided to get it a full year on the Dune case before switching to the Sierra, but I’m impatient.

I am sorry, but this patina looks like Apple leather case patina. Definitely not what I would expect.

If anyone wants a fake Apple Leather case in the UK: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/364582496036

This turned up today. Volume down button at first was stuck down (as was my first purchase from a different eBay seller) but came free after pressing it a bit so the best fake Apple case I’ve had in that sense.

I am sure they all come from the same place originally but can vouch for this one.

Still waiting on my one from AliExpress to see if there are any differences!

That looks awful!

My one from AliExpress arrived and it’s very close to Apple’s leather cases, it’s a bit on the heavier side though. The 13PM leather case is 32g, whereas this is 38g. Power button is a bit on the stiff side but will probably get better over time.

That’s the one I’ve got, it’s a very good copy but it isn’t leather… at least the one I received isn’t

It’s been a downhill ride for the Keyway since its fall into the puddle of melted snow and salt about ten days ago. The leather did dry out but now feels quite awful. It’s rough and taken on a dull greyish tone that I hate. I can’t stand the water stain around the logo and tonight the little bit that goes around the charging port broke. So the Keyway is being retired after 3.5 short months. Back to the silicone case for now until I decide what’s next.

I love leather but have come to realize how little protection it actually provides. I haven’t dropped a phone in a few years and got really lucky that there was no damage in this fall. The last time I had a phone in leather fall the phone was a total loss. So as much as I don’t like the idea maybe it’s time for a Nomad. Phones are getting more expensive as is everything these days so maybe it’s time to prioritize protection over fashion.

Nomad cases have come a long way in the last few years. They’re much more comfortable in the hand then they used to be and the buttons are truly fantastic. I used one for about 6 months on my 14 Pro last year and I’ve been using an English Tan one on my 15 Pro Max since day 1 this year and I love it. Sure it’s slightly bulkier, but the protection is unparalleled

My black bullstrap warranty replacement case has arrived, much better than the slate one it replaced in terms of feel (no suede like texture) so hopefully this one will be a keeper... :)

I just got an Andar leather case in and it’s super slippery. Does this get better over time?
Yes it will, they come coated with protective oils and waxes to preserve the leather while its sitting in a stock room and to make it look it's best upon delivery etc...

You can remove the coating by applying some leather cream (Andar's own) which will give it a more grippy feeling, or you can clean it and then apply cream after which will remove even more protection.

Or simply just use it. It will take longer, but will be a more even wear pattern and will look the best letting nature take it's course.

This has been answered soooo many times in here.

Yes it will. Use it and it'll grippen up.

I've been using my Moss one for 10 days now and it's a lot more grippy than it was out of the box. No creams etc applied.

I also got through BS support and I asked to send me an ocean color case. Never had issues with any prior cases but all I had to do was pay shipping.

They must be using a more suede leather for get the colour right ie the dying process.

It's no surpise they're wearing/losing their colour so quickly as suede is so delicate

Can you post a pick of the English tan and how it’s aged. That’s the one I’m drawn to. Thanks!

Man that sucks, you had a nice patina going on it too. I would try the Ryan London closed bottom since it’s basically the same case without the X and just use a leather conditioner to waterproof it some.
