really nice, don’t have yet because it’s a fresh addition to their lineup. only available since a few days ago.

Here is another Crazy Horse, from YOMEGA.

Fit, buttons and cutouts OK. Speaker cutouts are open, instead of little holes.

I don't have a particular preference, both brands are reliable and make good products. I know and have bought from YMW since 2020 (mainly Barenia and Zermatt leather cases), I only discovered Yomega at the end of the last year. I would say they are equivalent.

YMW has the advantage of a greater variety of “niche” leathers. They probably buy warehouse stocks directly from the tanners themselves because the country of origin and type of leather change over the years/series. Mastrotto, Tempesti, SB Foot Tanning Co., Horween, etc.

Hi guys!! I'm new so sorry if i make any mistakes with where to write stuff etc.

I wanted to buy a Ryan London case for my iPhone 15 pro, the one with the metal camera ring etc (the link is at the end of the post. What i wanna know is how strong the magsafe is, I want to attach a magsafe popsocket to it, and i fear it won't hold very well. So if anyone has any experience with magsafe accessories with this cover, please let me know.

I got the nomad leather back in today. It’s really easy to attach and stays stuck to phone really well. The leather feels and smells good and the MagSafe strength is good. My only knock is the thickness and weight. It’s 27 grams for the 15 pro so almost as heavy as most full leather cases. Not really sure if it’s a keeper or not yet.

I ordered the brown one, the camera ring looks so bad..

So I ordered from a place called MaxPureCases, and they have all the colors. Mine is coming in today, so I will let you known if it’s a bust or not. Hoping for a great place to get replacements from.

My turquoise Andar Aspen. The one with the scratches is the most recent picture. It was my first leather case after telling myself I wouldn't buy a case.

Did your phone case from MaxPureCases arrive? Is it a legit site?
Pretty sure he said the case he received was fake and wound up returning it. I stumbled upon that site too and it seemed pretty sketch. On the website footer, they have a Wyoming address listed, and then right below it it says "Located in Los Angeles."

Yeah, I’d say they’re almost certainly a drop-shipping site and just buying fakes from AliExpress and putting your address in at checkout.

The magsafe is excellent on mine, been using it attached to a car holder/charger while driving over some rough terrain with no issues, also with an Anker Powerbank, also great.
Didn't use a popsocket though.

How would you compare YMW to Ryan London quality wise. It’s a fact that Ryan London doesn’t make their leather cases in house, they use a factory in China. So the game here is to either find the factory or buy from a factory that offers similar quality from AliExpress.

challenging evaluation.. both are made very well: size, fit, and button feedback. Here I would say that they are equivalent.

to compare them you would have to find the same leather. from the YMW range the most similar to RL is perhaps this one (available in open bottom only):

YMW Horween Latigo

Water Drop Test

RL (unwanted) dark spot, small temporary hump, reabsorbed leaving a slight tinge in color.

LC (wanted) dark spot, small temporary hump, reabsorbed leaving a slight tinge in color.

looks like LC’s leather is natural and uncoated.

Only issue with the Latigo is it’s an opened action button.

Wish we could find the factory that Ryan London and Bullstrap uses.

Just got a 15 off discount code from Ryan London. Closed bottom case is $61 vs $49 YMW Latigo case. Not much a difference and would take at least 3 weeks to receive the YMW.

Latigo for 15PM has a proper action button, but it’s an open bottom case (charging port side) only. no closed bottom available.

I finally got around to using leather cleaner and conditioner on my Lucky Coin tan case. Wow, this case feels so nice now! I really love this case. The color, the buttons, the camera bump and the fit are all fantastic.

Ref the Bullstrap closed bottom - does anyone know for certain yet what colours they’re planning to release it in? I’m hoping for the slate.
