What would you guys say is the best leather case for the 15 Pro Max in terms of quality and offering the best protection, as in tight around the edges?

I have tried to Ryan London leather case but found the corners to be a bit loose and I am worried that the case will offer little protection if I were to drop the phone.

I know Andar, Decoded and Bullstrap are all popular but which is the best?

"Best" is so subjective.

In my opinion, Andar.

Closed bottom; pinky comfort

Buttons; nice and clicky. Some have said they have had sharp edges on their as in sharp enough to cut them. Personally, I think that's a bit of an exaggeration. Mine on both Turquoise and Moss have been well machined and rounded.

Fit; Slim and good around the corners.

Magsafe stength; holds really well onto my car mount and my wallet doesn't swivel

Leather quality; Slippery at first but soon gains grip with use. Smells good and is soft. Appearing to patina gracefully; not too slowly and not too quickly.

You mention the best protection so that likely rules out open bottom cases. Although for me the open bottom is enough protection so it’s all subjective to the user. As for brand, for closed bottom I would probably say Andar. Open bottom I would say Bullstrap easily. I have had too many crap cases from Ryan London to ever consider them again and never tried Decoded.

Really?? Mine got too loose at the bottom edge. Pop out so easily. Got replacement and have the same problem. Now,stay with Bullstrap only.

As mentioned, there’s not really a “best” as different people like and need different things from a case, but I’d say if you go with any of the better known brands you’ll be fine.

Andar, Bullstrap, Ryan London, Decoded, Nomad - These are all good high quality cases, but it’s also worth remembering that leather once dropped isn’t that nice to look at and hold.

How thick are the LuckyCoin, Bullstrap, and Ryan London cases relative to the old Apple leather cases? I used the Apple one for my 12 Pro and wouldn’t want something bulkier for my 15 Pro

I don't have precise measurements, but LuckyCoin is definitely thinner than Bullstrap. I wish I still had an old Apple Leather Case sitting around but I would say LuckyCoin is the closest out of those three to the Apple Leather Case, but it's still not as thin.

Thanks for this
Is the Andar your current daily driver?

I think Decoded is the thinnest I’ve tried out of the lot.

Out of all my leather cases the Andar aspen seems to be the thinnest in my experience. If you want a truly thin leather case like Apples, then YMW Nappa leather is my pick

Would you say the case fits snug on your phone?
I have read people on here saying the case is loose and the phone can pop out from the corners...
Very snug.

I’ve had the turquoise and now the moss. Both fit perfectly, no corner pop off at all and you need to prise it off the phone, it doesn’t just slip off

Just ordered a satchel & page case for my 15 Pro, looking forward to seeing how it compares to my Bullstrap cases…

Brand new Ryan London OB next to twoish weeks of Luckycoin. The LC had more grain and variation new compared to the RL new. The last photo is when the LC was brand new. Love how RL has flush buttons compared to LCs raised buttons. LC $26 shipped. RL $55 shipped .

What do you use to clean the case?
I was just using generic car interior leather cleaner but I ordered the Torro leather care kit off Amazon.

It’s two 15ml pots. One cleaner, one protector. Did it yesterday and the protector feels a bit sticky after you let it soak in. Tells you to leave it 24h but I left it 6h and dabbed it with a microfibre cloth. Was super super grippy for an hour and then subsided.

Has bought the strong scent of leather back and has made the case feel a lot softer.
