After RL camera button and Ghost 2.0 button I actually prefer a cutout like Andar. Didn’t think I would but got real comfortable having the CC naked.
Really? Andar cutout just look horrible IMO, is that bad RL the cc button in RL ?

That’s awesome! You do any commissioned work?

Can i send you mine from 🇬🇧 to 🇺🇸 ?

Honestly I wouldn’t mind but I’m afraid of burning it in lopsided or uneven and having people get mad lol. I didn’t setup the right parameters for my caudabe case and it bubbled up on me lol

I strictly use the brand Saphir for leather care products. For my shoes, portfolios, gloves and phone cases.

When I purchased my case from Ryan London I saturated the leather with Saphir Creme Universelle Leather Balm (specifically this one because it does not darken the leather), through many separate applications across many days with ample drying time in between. The result was a leather case not at all thirsty which gives a much slower patina development. Now after 6 months my case shows less patina than many other cases shown here do after just 1-2 months.

Not for everyone, but I want a slow patina where the leather doesn't just turn 1 shade darker evenly across the entire case.
Is @ChiLLon still active on MR?

I need more info about his leather conditioning regime.

Saphir Blam is on its way to me.

Ive got the Leather bug now.

SHOOO Caudabe and the rest lol

Got my replacement Ryan London closed bottom with camera cutout case today (my last one had a dent near the power button). Luckily the new one is in mint condition but still has the strange thing where the lip is slightly higher in the middle of the case than at the corners. Don’t think it will be an issue but it does mean there’s slightly less of a lip there than other parts of the phone.

So last night I was working on a smart plug in my bathroom, and I needed my phone so I laid in down on a box on the counter. Kept working and then picked my phone up to discover it had water on the box. There was a stain left. Hopefully it will still dry out and go away, but a little disappointing.

7 weeks on the RL, so don’t want to mess up the patina I have going.

And for the patina gold, here is the case without the red markup.

Its all part of the character of leather. I completely understand though. I dropped my Keyway Whiskey case in a puddle last year and it soaked the water up and stained the leather. I drove me crazy to the point that I kept taking the case off because it bugged me and I wound up breaking the case around the charge port. I stuffed it in a drawer out of frustration and found it again about 6 months later and the water staining really wasn't that bad. I was more mad that the case was broken and not really useable because it was a beautiful case. If there's one thing I've learned from years of using leather its to not let the little blemishes bother me. Its all part of the leather process and adds character. Every blemish tells a story. If it helps I think your case looks stunning to the point that I now regret buying a black case this time around.

Thank you! It actually isn’t that bad at all, and like you said, just another element of the character of the leather. Thanks so much for the encouragement. I wasn’t too bothered by it, but now I do feel much better. I am really loving the patina on this case. It’s up there with my best Apple leather cases.

Sucks about the Keyway! The patina on those look great.
