Just got the RL open Botton case in Sadle Brown. Love it. Do you guys treat your cases with a leather conditioner? What do you use and how often to you treat?
I won’t treat it, I did treat one of my Bullstrap cases in the past and developed a bad patina. Your oily hands will give life to the leather haha. You can clean it with saddle soap and then condition it a bit oone each 2 month or so, but it’s not mandatory.

Oh yes, is one of the little flaws that RL OB has. BTW I am not experiencing this in the Alex goldfinch case, is in anyway smoother in that part as Bullstrap is. But that’s my experience so far.
Oh,ok! So maybe I will buy the black one! £37 including shipping is good price for this case I think!

More like it $78AUD with shipping. what colour do you have?
Any gaps? or other issues?
Me? I bought sienna brown first, and then bought Taupe. And no issues so far, no gaps, perfect fit, perfect leather feel and perfect clicky button. Cutout is Bullstrap-type, is nicely done, seems sturdy enough. Taupe blends perfectly with natty and dessert titanium, and Sienna brown is just a beautiful color. I kinda like more Sienna Brown as a color but Taupe just blends perfectly so I have mixed feelings haha.

I think (not sure) that the key is they use a thicker layer of leather(compare to RL closed bottom for example), so you can really feel that is leather and not plasticky feeling, that’s what (for me) makes them to be up there on top, at the same level if not best than Bullstrap and RL Open bottom (this 2 are also for me, really top choices)

The plastic feel on RL closed bottom isn’t the leather, it’s the oil waxed coating on it. Up until the newest CC button version of the closed bottom, the leather on RL’s closed bottom has been just as thick if not thicker than the open bottom. You are not alone in not liking the oil waxed coating, but for me it’s a bit of layer to protect the leather and slow that patina process down. I just prefer the open bottom feel or I would rock it.

Could be this!! Not an expert actually haha.

So I had plans on ordering another Luckycoin to replace the broken one. Today I was at Best Buy and they had some leather cases on sale for $29(canadian) from a brand I had not heard of before. I looked them up online and decided to give it a shot. The brand is dbramante. It’s apparently a danish leather company that has been around for quite some time. They use full grain leather. I also, for the first time ever, got it in black. I always buy brown but today I decided some in trying something new that I’d go really wild. Ha ha.

Anyways. It’s a very nice fit. It’s actually an absolutely perfect fit. Very minimalist like the Apple ones were. The buttons are a touch on the sharp side like Andar but that doesn’t bother me. I’ll try to grab some photos later tonight if I have time. For now here is a link to it. https://dbramante1928.com/collectio...e-iphone-15-black?_pos=8&_fid=aa018b919&_ss=c
It’s available in black or tan.

Will see how it ages.

looks nice, not a fan of the camera ring protector tough. How leather feels?
It’s a bit dry out of the box. Hoping it softens after a few days like the Luckycoin did. Don’t know much about this brand so now idea what expect. I will say tough that the fit is perfect. Even minimal lip all the way round. Tight corners. No gap at charger port. Fits just like OEM which is to say it does not have any hand made feel to it. Time will tell I suppose if it’s any good. But it’s good enough for now.

After RL camera button and Ghost 2.0 button I actually prefer a cutout like Andar. Didn’t think I would but got real comfortable having the CC naked.
