T-Mobile's ad in their store got me very excited when it mentioned they had a G2 with a micro sd card. Turns out their interactive display is incorrect. Damn.
Edit: sorry for the huge picture. Uploaded from my phone.
I rooted mine and the only thing in my notification shade is the toggle buttons, I removed the volume and brightness sliders, and well the Q-slide buttons are on a toggle anyways.
Oh man, i didnt know this had an expansion slot. I am really interested in this phone now. I was before but even more now. If the N5 doesnt wow, im getting this as it does have that wow factor but again, the only bad thing is when it will get 4.3.
EDIT...oh wait, are you saying it doesnt have a microcard slot?
Finally got to play with one today.
I really like the size of the screen. The S5 should go to this size and dump the buttons on the bottom.
This is probably the best smartphone of the year.
Only other device that could beat it for me would be the Nexus 5.
2 Questions
Is the phone 16gb only and is it better than the HTC One? I am due an upgrade and was looking at the HTC One or even Nexus 5
----------
was the build quality like?
heard its kinda cheap and ''plasticy'' lol
No slot
Damn, really? Why did they have that in the description? Real bummer if it doesn't have it but it is still one of two I'm considering.
It comes with 32gb, I think it's like 24gb free out of the box. That should be more with one of the ROMs that cleans out the bloatware though.
The build quality is excellent IMO, better than the Galaxy line. I read a lot of reviews that harped on the "slimy" shiny slippery plastic backing of the G2, but honestly I don't know what they were smoking. The G2 feels very well put together, the backing is definitely a bit slippery, but it's not cheap feeling in the least. Also instead of having a gaudy chrome strip surrounding the frame it has a very thin almost unnoticeable silver strip, which IMO is MUCH classier looking than the big chrome strip you see on other phones. Overall very solid, no creaks or flexing, and the screen...
I'd put the plastic on par with the iphone 5C, nice and solid, where I feel the Galaxy devices are a step under that solid feeling.
Oh okay. Seriously considering getting this phone over the HTC One. The problem i think the UK are only selling 16gb versions. I can't see any 32gb versions the major networks like 02 and Three are selling.
Also if i get this phone, i will have to buy a separate ipod as this phone isnt good enough to hold my music collection as ive heard the music quality is brlow par.
What colour do you think looks better...white or black?
16gb is tough, I don't think I would have bought it with only 16gb. The music is a bit odd, and I'd say probably my only complaint. The speakers are not the greatest, but I haven't used them that much so I wouldn't be the best judge. Bluetooth audio is kind of crappy IMO. Stereo bluetooth music is a bit tinny compared to my old ip5, but it's not terrible. Headset/phone bluetooth audio, on the other hand, is pretty crappy.
If you listen to music a lot the HTC One may be a better fit, I've never owned it though so I can't say from experience. I don't think I would have paid full price for the G2, but I scored it for $400 off of craigslist so it worked out well.
BLACK all the way, with the black surround/bezel it makes the screen look incredible. The only thing that ruins the effect is the stupid LG logo, but it's not bad.
I don't know about bluetooth and etc, but for music through headphones...this phone is suppose to be the best out. It has 24 bit audio, which is way superior to any other phone.
I don't have the phone nor do I plan on getting it, but I did read that in a few places.
I have the Verizon G2 and my one complaint is the sound volume. It is really low...i have it turned up to maximum so i don't miss email or text notifications. The sound through headphones is ok...... But TBH the HTC One has the best sound for a smartphone on the market.ehhh?
heard its one of the worst lol out of the next gen smart phones
htc one is much better in this regard

As stated there, and various reviews, the g2 can output higher quality audio. That is ALL i know. I don't know how it translates into real world performance.
The htc one was great...I know have a iphone 5s. They both have their advantages, but the htc one sound was superb.
Is the LG G2 selling well? Any reports on that?
In light of the continuing grim HTC news, I feel Android will really need a challenger to Samsung. Sony just doesn't really seem to be on the radar, and Motorola is still in the midst of "coming back."
Of the big names, that sort of leaves LG as the only one...
I took my G2 back to AT&T this morning and purchased a T-Mobile Note 3. He (at T-mobile) was trying to push the G2 to a few people including myself so that is a positive sign I suppose. He also said though that his store has sold more Note 3s in the 2 days they've had them than any other phone, including the iPhone 5S/5c.

what was wrong with the g2?
Absolutely nothing reallly. It's a great phone with one of the best screens I've seen on a phone. For me though, I actually thought the phone was too small after using a Note 2 for the past year. I actually missed using the stylus too.
