Maybe but Apple offer poor value, their screen resolutions are woefully behind everyone else. And Their cameras haven't been the best lately, also the huge Plus model having extra features is also poor value.
Samsung sure has tons of features but it's build quality lacks behind others, so not THE best Android has to offer.
Can't argue with the Pixel but it is expensive.

I certainly don't think any of these handsets are worth over 700 of what ever currency you choose. But for some reason they all seem intent on inflating prices massively across all flagship phones this year.. very poor value in anyone's eyes when they don't offer anything extra.

They're not worth the price to you. But others find it just fine.

They determine prices based on what people are willing to spend.

So odd when people think they can tell others what's valuable for their needs.

Then get an iPhone...

Seriously, taking 30 seconds to plug in a 128GB MicroSD card, go to settings, and enable adoptable storage is extremely easy to gain yourself 4x the storage at a fraction of the price of what a storage bump would cost.

Think he already has one.

If I was going to get this phone, this is one I'd try to get unlocked. And after I see what Samsung is offering.
They have the unlocked models listed on the LG website but it just says "coming soon". Whatever that means.....

Interesting, LG just released a bootloader unlock for unlocked US G5's. It's very late, but still bodes well for the G6 getting a bootloader unlock also. If and when LG offers it I may consider the G6, so far it seems like the best of 2017.

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!

Just as odd as you replying to my reply to someone else, so your comment IMO makes little sense. And your also VERY WRONG in your 'assumption' they are not worth it to me, considering I own an iPhone 6S at present. So again your comment makes no sense.

........

Back on topic! I like the white, but the other colours are also nice, that silvery one is interesting I think.

If I could have any color...I think I'd pick the white one. I don't know what my second choice would be. This is one phone I'm very eager to see in person.

Camera review:

Glad he compared it with the V20. The V20 quickness of focus is almost as good as the S7 Edge. So for the G6 to have improved focus over the V20 is great news. Also the wide lens is now 13MP instead of 8MP which is a good improvement, since wide shots encourage a viewer to zoom in.

And the V20 does take excellent video with amazing audio , so an improvement on that is damn good as well. I even used it as a dash cam in my car a couple of times.

So apparently Europe are getting the 64GB model? Is this true?
Oh wow I hope you do! If we could get that here in the US as well this purchase would be a no brainer for me. I'm rationing what I download on my S7 and S7 Edge and HTC. I don't use adoptable storage because I pull the cards and reuse them. So I want sufficient onboard storage for my apps. I use SD cards just for pictures and videos.

I don't think Samsung allow you to use adoptable storage anyway. Would be nice if we got something but would prefer wireless charging.

I know my HTC permits it but yeah, I think you're right, Samsung does not. I don't know about LG. I tend to use wired charging anyway because it's faster so I'm the opposite and would take the 64GB. Which is sufficient for my Android needs. I've got 256Gb on my iPhone and it's nearly filled! I'm going to have to offload some of the videos I've taken.

Where did you see that?!?!?! I need to see it with my own eyes to get even more excited lol!
It was on the YouTubeguys weekly tech podcast (formerly known as the android guy). He said there were 3 varients of the LG G6, wireless charging for the US, QuadDac for Asia and 64GB for Europe.

Erika Griffin in her latest video says that we are only getting 32GB:(
I would not be shocked if somewhere down the line that changes.

I will see what they do to update the V series. If they can make the V30 chassis as nice as this, it would be tempting because you know the specs should be good. Actually a little bit overkill for me as I just want the bigger onboard storage, otherwise the G6 is quite sufficient for my needs.

I'm growing more interested in the Galaxy S8. I still prefer the G6's design, but as an existing Samsung customer, I can't help but be interested in their new phone.

OnePlus also has grabbed my attention for what they may bring down the road.

My G6 is on the truck for delivery today. Man...no matter how many phones i get every year....everytime it still feels like Christmas the day they are going to be delivered :)

Can you please let us know if the UI menus can be themed dark like the OnePlus 3T?

Sure! I'll post back when I have the phone in hand. I'll answer any questions anyone has....
I'm so excited for you! How many lines/sims do you use at a time? I've got my main number I try to keep reserved now for either of my iPhones due to being stuck with iMessage for the time being. My second line is for my Android phone du jour, which is currently my S7.

I am going to redo my HTC 10 a bit to simplify the home page and make it the family music player because the DAC is so sweet. It had a good run as my main phone for a few months until I got my 7 Plus. But the others have it beat for now.
