I'm so excited for you! How many lines/sims do you use at a time? I've got my main number I try to keep reserved now for either of my iPhones due to being stuck with iMessage for the time being. My second line is for my Android phone du jour, which is currently my S7.

I am going to redo my HTC 10 a bit to simplify the home page and make it the family music player because the DAC is so sweet. It had a good run as my main phone for a few months until I got my 7 Plus. But the others have it beat for now.
I have 3 lines on TMO...all 3 have JoD. 2 lines are mine (one line is my everyday number) and one is for my youngest son.
So i have plenty of room to get the latest phone if it interests me. All too much they ALL interest me!
So i just switch sims to the phone i want to use for that day. Sometimes I will switch multiple times in one day.....I know I have a problem :)
I have 2 lines on VZW...one line is mine one is for my oldest son.....

Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
Sure! I'll post back when I have the phone in hand. I'll answer any questions anyone has....

What's the camera like in auto mode? How big is it compared to the iPhone 6S or 7 non Plus size in a case? How good is the signal reception and WiFi. How smooth is it and what's it like with the Google Now launcher (optional one that as you may not install it).

Thanks muchly, can't think of anything else I want to know.

The g6 isn't going anywhere as far as hard to get so I am waiting to see the s8 first before I make any move.

I thought Verizon was getting the g6 first, I will have to check some nearby t-mobile stores to see if one turns up to check out.

So just finished setting it up and swapping sim cards to make it my daily driver for now.

First i gotta say this is a very nice phone....feels great in the hand and very balanced. I have had a few LG phones including the V20 and this is by far the best LG phone yet.

Camera is flush on the back and very quick to focus and snap pics.
Wifi and cellular reception has been great so far...same as my other phones.

This does NOT feel like a 5.7 inch display phone. It is about the same size as my S7 edge but thicker and with a bigger screen. It feels to weigh about the same as the S7e. Check out the pics below to see the G6, S7e and 7+ all lined up. The 7+ looks huge compared to the other 2 phones!

The LG skin has been toned down quite a bit. It is very smooth and responsive.
There was some LG bloat but I can uninstall almost all of it like the LG Heath, LG Friend Manger, Quickmemo

It comes with a FM Radio app....don't see that anymore!

Thanks for the post and comparison shots. I love the size of my iP7+ but man that makes me jealous of that size of a screen in a smaller phone than mine. Do you know if these are at T-Mobile stores? I may have to swing in to check it out.

LG phones are well known to plummet in value very quickly, so you can always pick up a cheap one in a few months. I definitely prefer the G6 on paper over the S8, but I really have to fondle them both to decide.

Pics of the ip7+ and the G6 with the screens on. I want to laugh/cry hysterically as I wonder why I carry around a brick like the 7+ with a smaller screen!

I don't think they are in stores yet until the 30th.

How is performance thus far? I know it's brand new out of the box so I'm assuming Goose poop slick?

Awesomeness!! I might sell my 3T to fund this.
The themes are very nice but some apps don't follow the theme colors. Like the calendar app...everything else seems to be black except the LG calendar app is still white.

lol I have step in goose poop many times over the years and it is indeed slick!
So far the G6 has been great! It has been fast responsive. No hiccups or lag. I think Android turned a corner with Nougat as far as performance and over all smoothness goes.

What I'd like to know is how it stacks up against the S7E.
This one is tough......I like Samsung phones in general. But the curved display on the S7 edge is evolutionary and was more perfected on the N7 and hopefully with the S8. I prefer flat display phones to be honest.

One thing though about the G6 is it feels so small in my hands. It does not feel like a 5.7 display phone at all. I had the V20 and it felt huge. The G6 feels small and able to use one handed very easily and barley takes up any space in my pocket.

My local t-mobile store has a demo on display, I just called them a few minutes ago. I'll head over there asap to check it out.
One thing i wish the G6 had is a display wake/lock button on the right hand side of the phone.
You can still double tap the screen to turn it off and wake it. You can push in on the FPS to wake/lock the screen as well. But having that wake/lock button on the side would be better imho.

Post back and let us know your thoughts :)

Lol, @jamezr you have enough phones that you should have your own YouTube review channel! Thanks for the comparison photos and answering all the questions.

I'm just stunned at the differences among the screens vs the body sizes of the three phones. I can see that 2:1 ratio being the future, but time will tell if the whole market feels that way. I've read some people complaining about it, so who knows. The manufacturers seem to be leaning that way and i a, certainly not going to complain!

Looks like the LG G6 has a nice display. Not too yellow, not too blue and nice and crisp. Nice and flat! Yay flat!

Lucky! I want to see if I can find a demo but I caught the flu I was complaining the rest of the family had last weekend.

It's probably just as well I don't see one in person until I see the Samsung debut event.

I love that the headphone jack is on the top of the LG G6. Not for reasons of convenience or functionality but because I'm quirky enough to own one of these on my HTC 10 when I'm not using the headphones on it. Shhh...don't tell anyone!

All 3 with their screens on
S7 edge with 5 5 display
7+ with 5.5 display
G6 with 5.7 display

Awesome, now I'm officially embarrassed by using something like the 7+. Can you take a pic with them stacked up as well? I'm getting the feeling the G6 is thicker, but I'd love to see them stacked up.

I'm selling my 7 plus Tuesday. I'm genuinely interested in this device. Debating on whether to get it or just hold out with my 6s. Options, hmm.

It is too early to tell but battery life has been better than expected. It is at 88% and just over an hour SOT

The FPS is nice and very accurate. It does take a little getting used to pushing on it to lock the phone. The knock knock works great though

I see the V20 is now €480 on import now, hopefully within a few months I will pick up a G6 for around €500 and i would go for the white version ...
