For anyone interested, Mr. Mobile review of the G6 is up.

The HTC U Ultra is 2:02 is disgustingly huge, it's even taller than the LG V20.

It's frustrating that such a nice piece of phone tech is so hamstrung at the start by these regional snubs. I'd get the wireless charging but the 32 gb storage would be annoying if I were to get it loaded with bloat from my carrier.I was watching the review and then suddenly ahhhhhh for a moment I had forgot about that thing with no wireless charging outside USA and no fancy DAC outside South Korea. LG y u hate Europe m8?
i think that is the whole idea...tempt us with the hardware to sell their services until you finish paying or upgrade again.....How can your US carriers do these BOGOF offers ? Are they contingent on you taking another cellular line/contract ?

Well we have everything all under one account, but when we did BOGO for our Note 7s we opened two new lines to get the deal. When we got our Note 7's the second Note was not free but offered discounted to the full price of an S7 Edge at that time. So we were to pay whatever the difference was between the Note 7 and Edge 7. But the recall happened so the replacement S7 Edge ended up being free. How can your US carriers do these BOGOF offers ? Are they contingent on you taking another cellular line/contract ?

You need to remember that you can't compare screen size between different ratios. The 5.5" S7 Edge has a screen area of 84.5cm² to the 86.5cm² on the 5.7" G6.That's the deal breaker right there for me. This is a 5.7" phone, but with a small 3,300mAh battery. The S7 Edge is 5.5" and has a large 3,600mAh battery.
yep, for instance, Verizon has a $200 trade in offer with the G6 pre-order. But, you get that $200 spread out over 24-months, therefore, you'd have to stay with Verizon if you want to get that full $200.
email fine print: **$672 device payment purchase req’d. Less $200 trade-in/promo credits issued over 24 mos; credit starts w/in 1-2 cycles & promo credit ends when balance is paid or line terminated/transferred or changed to an ineligible plan; 0% APR. Eligible trade-in must be in good working & cosmetic condition. Limited time offer.
i agree..... My Pixel XL (3450 mAh) and OnePlus 3t (3400 mAh) both have smaller batteries than my S7 edge (3600 mAh) but both get significantly better battery life than the S7 edge for me.You need to remember that you can't compare screen size between different ratios. Also, don't forget that the rumored 5.7" S8 will only have a 3000mAh battery.

My S7 edge got a lot better after getting Nougat.Easy to explain: Samsung has awful standby battery life compared to industry leaders.

Sometimes it's insanely good on my S7 Edge, S7 and hubby's S7 Edge, rivaling my iPhone 7 Plus's better days (which has been comparatively mediocre on the last iOS 10 public release). And other times it's like an electricity vampire was feasting on them as they sat doing very little.Easy to explain: Samsung has awful standby battery life compared to industry leaders.
It sounds like it can, but at a performance hit. http://www.androidcentral.com/dont-use-lg-g6-without-microsd-cardDoes this phone do adoptive storage? If so I might be able to live with just 32gb.

There doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to it. I think they have a secret life and run off to bars and sing karaoke and do terrible "dad dancing" when we aren't paying attention. Or troll Apple fans on tech blogs.
My HTC 10 is nothing to get excited about in terms of battery life, but it is far more predictable and consistent.

I have adoptable storage ability on my HTC 10 but I'm not using it until I really need to.
Yes that's a sticking point for me, too. I don't consider myself an app hog and load in only what I truly enjoy but after the bloat from the carrier and the manufacturer is loaded in, cough cough...Facebook...there really is surprisingly little left for consumers. I can certainly work through the limit, but for that price I don't want to be rationing my space. I want a bit of luxury. Which is what a nice big storage allotment is. On Android, I'd certainly be happy with 64GB as long as I can also use an SD card for photos and videos and music.Wow. I'm out on this one then. Sorry, LG. 32gb internal in 2017 isn't gonna cut it.

Well another reason is that I wanted to be able to pass the SD card to the next device. But it's good to know you aren't noticing a performance difference. Thanks!Having used the adoptable storage feature on my Nvidia Shield TV first gen, I would be very surprised if you actually noticed any performance difference day to day with a decent SD card.
