I have this in 10.13.3.
solution for me is wireless
Hmmm, I have been using it setup that way since October and have only started having issues since the last MacOS update. So your camera and all the USB-C ports on the monitor die too?

On 10.12.6 here... The LG loses microphone during FaceTime.Ever since 10.13.4 came out, my downstream USB ports on the LG have not been working well. If I am FaceTime-ing and using the LG camera, the camera will disconnect and then all the USB ports stop working. This is annoying because I use an ethernet adapter to the LG and my internet keeps dropping when doing this.
Anyone else having issues?
I bought one from this guy last June, seems to work fine. No idea how to confirm if it has shielding issues, but I have a VPN WiFi router probably 2ft away and it seems okay (other than the usual sleep/wake issues).Does anyone know this reseller through eBay?

I wonder, whether he is just selling those really messed up early models or also has decent ones?

Crazy, how he manages to actually sell those models.
Anyone try it with a eGPU now that macOS supports it?
I definitely am interested in this. I want an eGPU to game a little bit but my primary use is my MacBook Pro in clamshell model plugged into the 5K Ultra Fine.Anyone try it with a eGPU now that macOS supports it?

Apparently it's possible to plug in both the eGPU and the display into your MBP and it will passthrough the signal. But this will drop performance and you won't be able to accelerate games. The only thing that will be accelerated are apps specifically built to use an eGPU (pro video editing apps for now).
No other solution until TB3 graphics cards become available.
Edit: actually, it seems that games are accelerated, but frame rates suffer because of the passthrough. Hard to gather any information on this... try the egpu.io forums
There's a sticker that you can see if you remove the stand, or you should be able to view it via System Information while it's connected to your Mac.Does anyone know where to find the serial # on the monitor?
I received my monitor in January 2018 and I think it came assembled. I can't seem to be able to remove the stand. There's a sticker that you can see if you remove the stand, or you should be able to view it via System Information while it's connected to your Mac.

I've got a rMBP mid 2015. Can I get it to work using a tb3>tb2 adapter?
Also have all the instabilities been sorted out on the latest High Sierra?
4K on the 2015 rMBP? I have one hooked up to a 2015 rMBP and can get full 5K resolution
Do you have to use dual cables ?

That's interesting. Apple's own documentation says that it won't work at 5K resolution. Can you show a screen of what it has in System Profiler under Graphics/Displays?
One Thunderbolt 2 cable
5K -> TB3-TB2 adaptor -> Thunderbolt 2 cable -> rMBP
