No problem at all for me!

What version of ms office do you use? In previous dev versions of 10.10 office slowed down dramatically, in excel it took almost 4 seconds to edit a cell.
I use 14.4.3 (140616) now

Any news on how Yosemite treats Groupwise? Working or broken?

Thanks.

On a previous beta of 10.10 Groupwise worked fine

I can't get creative cloud to work

Actually, to get creative cloud to work you need to instal the beta of Java 8 BEFORE you instal creative cloud.
If you've already installed CC, then instal Java anyway, and then simply relaunch the CC installer and instal it again. Then reboot and CC will start working, and so will PS and Lightroom and all the apps.

Matlab with and without the budled Java are crashing on startup. Forklift, the excellent File Manager / FTP client is also crashing on startup.

Can't this thread be a wiki thread like the "All the little things" thread?

Can anyone verify that the following are working?

DROPBOX (not only app running, but files actually syncing)
BACKBLAZE (not only app running, but backups actually happening - also, do we know whether Backblaze will allow restore of last Mavericks state before Yosemite install if something goes bad?)
OPENDNS
iPHOTO (Photostream and importing photos/videos from iPhone)
iTUNES (syncing iPhone)
TIME MACHINE

Dropbox works
iTunes works

The people in this thread checking apps and posting back are truly doing the Lord's work. Thank you!

Here are some apps I use that haven't been mentioned yet:

GoToMeeting
Cyberduck
Jump Desktop

If anyone has any feedback on these, please post your info... thanks!

Cyberduck works

you're kidding? that is reason enough to stick with Mavericks right there. What kind of nonsense is that? Thanks Apple..

Well it's beta 1, I wouldn't expect everything to work perfectly.
It's actually working quite well I think.
I wouldn't recommend using it on your primary machine though.

My list of apps that don't work...

Final Cut Pro (because it's not the latest I guess)

iMovie won't run

Yahoo Messenger won't run

Messages and FaceTime refuses to accept my Apple ID login even though iTunes does, but that was a problem in Mavericks too that Apple has apparently chosen NOT to solve. :-(

Here are some of my experiences (rMBP 2012):

Parallels 8 - Not able to launch Windows 8 after upgrading to Yosemite. I get the "Unable to load Parallels Driver" and then the app closes/crashes. I uninstalled, reinstalled, verified/repaired permissions, still nothing. I installed the trial of Parallels 9 and everything is working fine. So, I guess I'll have to upgrade to 9 :( .

Roboform Extension in Safari - Does not work. Choosing to display the toolbar just displays a blank bar in Safari.

Matlab R2014a (and from searching all other versions) won't open. You have to run the executable, but still results in a crash. You have to modify SystemVersion.plist and change ProductVersion to 10.90 to get it to run.

If you haven't seen it already, go to System/Library/CoreServices/SystemVersion.plist and change ProductVersion to 10.90 to get Matlab to run.

vmWare Fusion

Just to confirm that 6.x doesn't work in the open beta, but if you download their 'technology preview July 2014', that works. My Win7 64bit VM (2Gb ram, 70Gb disk) fired up okay on my 8Gb 2009 MBP and it's quite usable once the 'troubleshooting' setting is changed to 'none'.

The tech preview can be found on vmWare's website, there are links to it in their support forum too.

Not sure about the rest but I'm unable to get Parallels to open on Yosemite. Maybe just being impatient but I've opened it a few times and it just won't open.

I would be very careful about making assumptions about things based on people's posts here. I am running the public beta 1 and both Parallels and Final Cut Pro X work without any issues. Just because someone can't run something doesn't mean you won't be able to, and apparently just because someone can run something doesn't mean that you will be able to either.

Parallels would not start in Preview 4. I was running Paarallels version 8 as version 9 is SO buggy it would destroy virtual machine. Parallels tech support is virtually non-existent as well.

I had to Downgrade back to Mavericks.

Cannot access my Pages files on iCloud. Haven't tried the other apps, but suspect will see the same. Have already verified that iCloud is set up to allow my files to use iCloud. I can still see the files on my iPhone 5S. Anyone else seeing this issue?

Had The same problem, updated to iOS8 Beta4 with iCloud Drive Activated and the documents appear magically.. :)

If you have iOS 8 then you can "upgrade" to iCloud Drive and it will work fine between OSX-iOS. If not, dont activate that option and continue with The normal icloud..
In any case, make a backup for your documents in iWork :)
