List of Broken Apps in 10.10 - DP1 Build 14A238x (merged)

FYI Little Snitch 3.4 nightly build appears to work (without any noticeable bugs). The 3.3 SN worked for me.
 
Haven't looked through the previous pages, but I can say that Default Folder X won't work entirely unless you update to the beta version available on their site.

I've had problems with private internet access although pretty sure they were happening before I got 10.10, anyways there helpdesk told me to download Viscosity because its apparently working for 10.10 but as soon as I install it and try to open nothing happens :S
 
I know its not a broken app as such but has anyone else noticed that itunes artwork screensaver thinks their itunes library has no artwork?
 
Just installed the public beta 1 and everything but VMWare seams to be working, couple of Mail and Safari crashes though

Great, thanks for the info, where did you find this fix? I opened a bug report and just got a generic response from Mathworks without any workaround info...
 
I have the Public Beta and I am only able to get the tool bar in Dark Mode but not the doc, I did restart my computer but still no dark mode for the dock so any ideas ?

From what I have learned, Parallels 9 and up seem to work (I'm beta testing 10) but 8 won't work. I have a machine that is still running 8 and the issue is that Parallels reports that support for virtualization is turned off. Highly doubt that Parallels will fix 8. In a minor breach of beta tester rules, 10 is very stable and is a good upgrade. You might be fine with 10 once they release it on Yosemite.

The main problem I am having now is with Screen Sharing. I can do screen sharing between Yosemite and Yosemite and Yosemite and Mavericks, but only if I'm on the same network. From Home to work and vice versa doesn't work regardless of which OS. I can connect and access files, but the screen sharing is not working. It was working perfectly before. Not sure if this is a bug in Yosemite or if I have a configuration issue, but as I said, it was working until I installed Yosemite, now it isn't.
 
Simple Partition Question

OK, I've got a basic question, the answer to which is probably obvious to most. But I can't seem to wrap my head around it.

If I install the Beta on a partition, and boot into that partition, will I have access to all of my normal applications and data?

Will my email accounts all be there when I open mail?

If I use the Beta over the next month or so, what will I lose when I delete that partition when I'm ready to upgrade to the final release over Mavericks?

I saw an article that said not to transfer settings to the Yosemite Beta when I install it on a new partition. That seems like odd advice.

Screeny crashes when initiating a screen recording.
Get Lyrical runs in iTunes 12, but only partial lyrics are added to songs.

Home sharing don't seems to work between iOS7 and Yosemite Public Beta1/iTunes 12. iOS7 see the shared library, but when it try to access, let say for example a movie, nothing appends...
Revert to Mavericks and iTunes 11, everything work fin.

Non working apps

I want to instal the beta but, I wanted to know if any of these apps done work!

Weird broken/new stuff in Pixelmator with no function (the three blank squares).

All my apps work in 10.10 (VMware, lotus notes 9, Evernote); however ,unfortunately, the mcafee endpoint software won't start and that is required to login to my VPN. I have a feeling mcafee will be slow to get to 10.10.
My lotus notes 9 does crash from time to time and if it continues I might go back to 8 version. Not sure that would help.

Not having any crashing issues but the Smart Search Field flickers and I had to disable "show favorites" in Safari prefs to get it to stop.

Didn't see it mentioned but if you need Flash the Beta version 14 seems to work fine so far.

Same issue here with the stable version, but the latest beta works.
