My MacBook AIR Superdrive has shipped and will be here in 2 days.
The Ethernet adapter is prepared for shipment and says will ship on the 6th, which is what the Superdrive used to say.

The MacBook AIR itself still says ships the 8th, arrives the 11th. I ordered it on the 15th, but upgraded it to 1.8GHz, but not with the SSD.

...The wait continues...

yea i agree waiting a couple days more to get what you want is no biggie

i went with the 1.6 cause i didn't think the upgrade in speed was worth $300
and that took some stress haha casue i really wanted the 1.8 lol
so settled with the superdrive option instead haha

But we've already passed 1PM PST and it doesn't show it's arrived in AK. It'd better go to Indy...since that's closest

It's in transit from Shanghai to Anchorage right now - it'll get there Thursday at 1pm. You didn't go out with the first shipment the day before, like mine did. Mine arrived in Anchorage a few hours ago.

I think it was smart of you to go with the 1.6, the bottleneck in the computer is going to be the 4200rpm hard drive (for the non-SSD models), the 1.8 isn't really going to shine that much when the hard drive spins that slow.

Hey, easy man. We saved your ass in WW2. :D Just kidding.

But in all seriousness, many (most?) of us are still staring at the same "Not yet shipped" status as all of you. So really, you should be damning only the select few, lucky Americans who have shipping MBAs.

While I was getting ready to post a "me too!" I checked my order status again and now my ethernet adapter status has also just gone to shipped. The superdrive and ethernet adapter are both coming from PA (duh, separate boxes, both due here Friday, we'll see if they both get onto the truck).

So now all that's missing is ze little 1.8 SSD airhead ;) itself which still sez will ship on Wednesday Feb 6th and be delivered on the 11th (Monday).

fedex flight status

Ok, from watching flytetracker fdx24 lands at about 10:45 PM EST and fdx90 landed at about 4:30 PM EST.

Mine must not have been fdx90 because there has been no status.

Does anyone know if the fedex facility at PANC sorts packages 24 hours a day?

Mine landed in Alaska a few hours ago too. I have "overnight" shipping. I wonder if that means I'll get it tomorrow... (Thursday).

I hope so, I'm leaving town early Friday morning.

It just means that FedEx has it. What time did it leave the origin? If it was after 4 PM Alaska Time, then it won't leave China until tomorrow.

There is no mention of AK in my tracking notice. This is what it says:

11:58 AM

Left origin

SHANGHAI CN

11:48 AM

Picked up

SHANGHAI CN

Package received after FedEx cutoff

9:01 AM

Package data transmitted to FedEx
