Weird...my Superdrive and USB Ethernet Adapter have been shipped, but my MBA hasn't even been prepared for shipping (still says - Ships by: Feb 6, Delivers by: Feb 11).

What am I supposed to do with them without the actual computer?!?

I ordered at 6PM.

haha i was thinking the same thing! i was saying it earlier here that it would be lame if i get my superdrive before the macbook air especially since it wont' work for any other computer lol

No, but it can sit on your desk and mock you for your lack of a compatible computer... ;)

I really enjoyed the 12" PB, my first Mac. I sold it to my brother who finds it perfectly adequate to build his iWeb sites and compose music. After toting around the 15.4" MBP, it'll be nice to get something a little smaller and a lot lighter. Like I said, if they'd come out with a 12" MBP, I might have gotten that instead.

With .mac and iSync (plus Retrospect and HDD's at home) , it's really not necessary to carry around all the stuff on one computer anymore.

definitely agree. while i never owned a portable mac before, the last laptop i owned was an inspiron 5100 back in '03-'04 for uni. that sucker gave "desktop replacement" a whole new meaning!

C'mon you fellow New Yorkers -- details and a little proof or I call shenanigans!

Of course, I am just looking for an excuse to play hooky....

Guys -

I live in the NYC area and just called the 5th avenue store....

They do have units on display, BUT NOT FOR SALE.

They hope to have stock by this weekend sometime. Just thought I'de let you know! Beacuse if they had the 1.8/64gb SSD I would have driven down to manhattan and picked one up and cancelled my pre-order!

Regards,
Aaron

Oh whoa --- that must be a mob scene down there, it can be hard enough to find any open laptop in that store.

And what torture that you can't buy it! Anyone remember anything like that in the past?
