well i have to paint the whole house to keep busy until my mba arrives...dude this sucks
I am pretty sure my MBA is in the exact same situation as yours. Does the FedEx tracking show expected delivery date? My tracking says delivered Feb 4th by 10:30am.

praise jesus. my 1.8/80gb 1/15 1:04 PST is ready for shipment. now it just needs to ship.
as for my 1.6/80, its somewhere in the air. they say monday by 10:30 eta. (2day shipping).
it's been a long 16 days since ordering. quite possibly the longest 16 days of my life, and this weekend is going to feel even longer. -_-

Haha, that someone else is claiming that thats his macbook air that he just got.
i was hoping though that it would be airborne the evening of the 31st over there. converting the departure time for fdx90 (according to flightaware) is 9:00PM china time. but if it's outbound today (friday over there), that's fine. the race to who's 1st is moot at this point.

I sure as hell hope that the person you talked to was much more knowledgeable about the situation than the rep I spoke to. I would much rather have it tomorrow or Monday. PM me if you could when you get it/know your delivery date for sure.
