I think that means it's in the UK waiting to go to the courier company - UPS? TNT? The girl in Apple said end of the week as well, maybe, perhaps.

I don't think they recognise what the tracking system is doing either - looks like Flextronics in the middle of merging operations with whoever took them over and the tracking system is FUBAR.

thanks but my delivery says tomorrow ;) well i guess ill find out in less than 24hours ;)

I know I will be calling TNT several times, but as my MBA was just shipped today so I said I got to start with just an email to TNT :)

So, I asked why the tracking number is not working and when should I expect the delivery and surprisingly, I actually got a reply in about 1 hr..

"Thank you for your e-mail. But for us to be able to help you we need a correct trackingnumber

The tracking number you have given us now is not correct.

You are very welcome back again with the right trucking number"

Funny right?

Of course the number was Copy & Pasted from Apple site.. so its just stupid..

ITs not merging in the UK at the moment but it says that it will go there to merge. Sorry bout the confusion. I still HAVENT gotten a tracking number...it still says it will be updated shortly. Anyoe else still having this problem?

I hear you brother, I've installed 3 Leopards + iLifes and Offices, 4 XPs and fixed up 3 rather ****ed up XP installations in this month alone as favours for friends. I think I've earned my Air soon. :rolleyes:

wohoo...

just called swedish tnt and the lady said very friendly that the last scan she could see was in belgium during the night and the package should get to stockholm today, but she didn't know if it had already arrived or it would arrive later today. If it had already arrived i would have it today otherwise tomorrow. They would know around 9 am (local time) so i'm going to call them back then...:D

Sure, I have, and others have, too!

Did you order more items than the MBA or not? You won't get a tracking number until everything is in one place and shipped from there to it's final destination (you, me, others). ;)

But if you've just ordered the MBA, merging it with nothing would be a bit weird ;)

Delivery in the UK

I ordered mine on 31st Jan with Estimated Shipping: 28 Feb, 2008 and Estimated Delivery: 10 Mar, 2008 .
has any one ordered after 31st and had a status changed ?:confused:

Hi.

I called Apple this morning. Though my MBA was in the plane on the 9th and is in the Netherlands right now, it won't be getting to Germany right away because of the merging with the ethernet adapter and the printer. They also told me that I'd get a new (?) tracking number after the merging process is over so I can finally track my MBA and if it's just for the last 300km.

This especially sucks because "Mannheim", the town mentioned in the tracking of MarkusK is just about 10km away from here. Bummer.

Anyway, I got the invoice today via email, so my warranty started today; without a MBA, but in good hope to get in until friday.

So, for every order in the future: if you want a product fast, don't ever order a second thing....

Hi! Yes, that's right. But as I have ordered some other items as well, the MBA should be in NL for merging at the moment. And I get no tracking information until everything is shipped from there to me :(

Therefore I can't tell when X-mas will actually take place this year ;)

Yeah I stupidly ordered Office 2008 and when I heard that adding items to the order delays it i tried to cancel Office but it was too late. Ah well, ill know for the future jst to order one thing.

My tracking number which starts by 27xxxxxxx (after removing last 2 digits), still doesn't exit in TNT system!

TNT said its wrong number.
Apple said its right but TNT will insist its wrong until it shows info in their system.. which will happen after dono what update (tonight or tomorrow)!

Isn't the tracking number created by TNT, so how come they see it as wrong number?

Sounds to me like 1980... Maybe 70's :confused:

don't know if this could also be the case for apple, but many large businesses create their own tnt/ups/fedex tracking numbers which get registered by the courier company only when they collect the parcell
