I would love to transition to chunky, however I have about 100gb of comics currently loaded into Comic zeal. not sure how to transition without a massive project of reloading all

Google Chrome has now the update for the new iPPs
Looks like the first Google-App?
Looks like it. Hopefully they’ll get on it with the others.

I wish they would put this stuff in the update notes. I checked those when I updated and just assumed they hadn’t bothered to update for Liquid Retina.

The pace of updates has really slowed down and I’m starting to get a bit peeved about DirectvNOW, Hulu, and Amazon Prime Video.

Facebook has never had a native app tooled for the 12.9" iPad Pro resolution. It's laughable.

I mean, I know it's only been three years ... but c'mon.

I’m writing at least one feedback message to one developer per day about lacking support. The biggest joke are the responses I get back sometimes, like “the new iPad doesn’t have a home button anymore, therefore there’s a home bar at the bottom and it has to be on a black background, so we have no influence on that.”

Or very often, “what iPad model are u using? Please specify the issue.”

The best feedback really came from amazon, first they claimed their app was already updated weeks ago, then someone called me on the phone to discuss my feedback! I complained about prime video, and the completely oblivious tech rep promised to take the issue into her Monday team meeting... :D

This must be some sort of boycott by Zuckerbaby

That's been my assumption.

So, when using my iPP, I hit facebook through Safari. Not as good as it would be with a dedicated app, but better than using the 'native' app that's really just a super small window blown up really huge.

Yea kind of pissed that amazon video and Hulu are still not updated. Netflix did it in less than 2 days. Wtf guys
Exactly. Hulu sitting on this makes no sense - their entire business is broadcasting video. But when I’m watching stuff on my iPad in bed, I’m turning to Netflix because it looks so much better.

I notice some apps have black bars all the way around, does this mean they haven’t even been updated for the iPad 10.5” screen either?

I think the black borders around Google Maps actually got bigger, but the corners are curved, so I think they're gradually altering the App to suit the new iPad Pros.

It's pretty clear to me that the apps that weren't already updated, will not be soon. We have gone through several updates of Vimeo, Prime Video, and Google/MS apps with no change in the aspect ratio. It's clear that iPad pro support wasn't in their short term roadmap. It's all a waiting game up to March, which is Apple's deadline.

It´s really embarassing for big „software“ companies. they should be used to this by now.

Comic zeal not updated. Developer bitolithic contacted on twitter but unresponsive
Give YACReader a try if you haven’t yet. It’s been updated.

The Windy app also updated today. It’s my go-to weather app so I’m finally happy with the app situation on the 11”. There are a ton still not updated but I don’t use them as much.
Edit: just noticed Twitch has also been updated.

Unbelievable - I have one developer who keeps responding to my complaint emails, but telling me that they dont intend to change these black bars, because they actually "like" them!
Is there any document from apple where they outline how exactly an app has to look like for the ipad 11" ? I only found this one, and it's not clear. https://developer.apple.com/design/...ines/ios/visual-design/adaptivity-and-layout/

I sent this pic to the developer and they are asking me what's my problem, claiming that it looks nice... omg image1.jpeg
