Idk I do like the new cameras. The bigger f1.5 on the wide lens and the 3x optical zoom on the telephoto is enticing enough to consider if I can find a good deal on a 13 pro. I’m happy with my 12 pro and unless I can get a good trade in I’m going to keep my 12 pro.
Pretty much me. So happy the Pro and Pro Max are the same so I’m not forced to go the bigger version. Pretty much what I want out of a phone camera setup, 77mm tele, increasing the sensor size of the main, without going some ridiculous high MP making low light suffer and bringing the sensor shift stabilisation.

All the other stuff like Pro Motion and a smaller notch is nice but wasn’t enough to temp me from my current, the cameras though.

iPhone 13 to the 12 is like what the XS was to the X, anyone remember what the XS had better over the X by heart?

And that is the phone that started Apple stop selling the high end previous year phone. They didn't want to cannibalize sales because of people buying a discounted X. First time in a while I will be sitting this one out.

I'm a bit shocked by the presentation. I knew there wasn't going to be much in the new iPhones, but there was even less than I expected. If ever there was a series of phones that deserved the 's' delineation, this would have been it. In fact, the 13 series should have been what the 12 series was - there's nothing here that couldn't have been done last year.

I felt like I just watched an Apple infomercial lol.

I’m on an 11 Pro Max, sat out on the 12 Pro and didn’t re-up with the upgrade program last year. I want to go 5G so I’ll probably grab the 13 Pro which is still a slight upgrade over my 11. With skipping last year I’m probably done with the yearly upgrades and look forward to the 15 and stick to 2 year cycles.

More excited by the iOS update these days than the phone! Got a 12 see no reason to upgrade anytime soon providing the phone lasts next upgrade will be when they stop supporting the iOS

I thought I couldn't be disappointed after the leaks and rumors. I still am. The most underwhelming upgrade in so many years. The 13 upgrade is a joke. 12s wouldn't even make sense. Really disappointing, esp as a Mini user with the 13 Mini being the last of it's kind. I hoped for one more thing with the 13 series.

Will buy the 13 mini anyway as it is the last, but at the end of it's cycle when prices drop around 300-400$ maybe.

Thank god they introduced the new iPad mini, that made my day at least.
This is me, basically. I was planning to get the 13 mini as it’s the last mini, but now I don’t know. A15, better low light photos, smaller notch, bigger battery - I think that’s it? Kinda hard to justify.

Thought this thread is about the 13 series, not 13 Pro series. Sorry.

No Bluetooth 5.2 either , how did apple evening procure a Bluetooth chip in 2021 that is not 5.2 ?? Even cheap android phones have it…

I suppose it might be introduced next year as a huge new feature in the 14 and thus a reason to upgrade.
Yeah they will probably wait until their own AirPods support it, then add it to the iPhone 14 as the next best thing for Hd low latency audio - like it’s never been seen before !

Hmm. I’m not blown away. Haven’t been for a few years. I do like the 12/3 form factor though. I also like the new blue. Just not sure though. My XS Max is still kicking.

I think we're definitely past the phase where it makes sense to upgrade every year. I mean, upgrading from the 4S to the 5 was a big deal; so was upgrading from 5S to 6.
iPhone X came out almost 4 years ago, and unless you're gaming or something, it feels just as snappy as an iPhone 12. Has Face ID and still receives updates.
I'd bought an iPhone 11 Pro Max shortly after launch to replace my iPhone X solely because of the screen size. I had absolutely no reason to upgrade to the 12 Pro Max (aside from 5G!!), so I didn't. I thought maybe the 13 would be different, and surely it's somewhat better than the 12, which is somewhat better than the 11.]
There needs to be something truly "new" for many of us to upgrade.

For me it’s a no brainer I’ll buy it when available !! The camera sensor and cinema thing is so cool to produce video !

Never mind that ridiculously huge camera module on the new Pro-series (as much as I'd like a telephoto lens, there's just no way, lol), but did anyone else also notice that the Mini and the Regular also got a more protruding camera bump? For those of us who go case-less that'd certainly be annoying. What I did like were some of the new colours - like the non-pink white; the non-pink product red; and the lighter shade of blue. I know many of you guys were disappointed by the new watch, but personally it'd be a really nice upgrade from my S4, so I'm actually looking forward to that one. :) The new iPad mini is also quite tempting, but other than that... - Meh!

No way I am spending $2114AUD for a 13 pro max 256gb and leather case when I got my 12 pro max 256gb and leather case for $1500AUD new 7 months ago.
Except for Graphite which I have the colours are horrible imo.
Nothing to see here.

Yea, you are on the border that you might be getting a good upgrade but only if you need it and yours is starting to have trouble..anything past yours..not so much

Well I did something today and ended up pre-ordering the 13PM through my carrier. They quoted around $850CAD for my 11PM which was the main selling point.

Hope the 14 or 15 probably my next phone isn’t as heavy as the 13 pm and has better color selections.

Titanium shell would be sweet and much lighter stronger…time for apple to eat a little cost.
