I think you should consult a dictionary to understand the definition of variable. No said it was adaptive. Nice to see that you changed your words to match that.

Hopefully, you also realize variable refresh rates can be made adaptive by software.
Look, let’s stop this nonsense here. I am not wasting any more time with you on this.

It does make a difference, the smaller s7 with a 8000mah battery has better battery life than the 10000mah S7+. The rest is just your speculation.

Apple specs claims 10 hours of battery life for all their iPad devices, whether it's iPad mini 2, iPad Air, or iPad Pro 12.9". The 12.9" gets around 13 hours based on reviews. This is not a mistake on Apple's part. Once you have more than 10 hours, it's not important.

Galaxy Tab S7+ exceeds 12 hours, even with 120Hz. The iPad Pro 12.9" has a 8% larger battery.

So, no battery life was not the reason Apple declined to use Samsung 120Hz OLED panel.

He keeps claiming OLED is cheaper to make but even The Verge reviews say it's more expensive that's why they don't use it on iPad yet. OLED for iPad Air next yr is rumor from Kuo. I bet he didn't even know Apple has been working on their own OLED display for yrs because it's way too expensive to buy from others.

I don't know how much miniled costs (I guess it's a high initial research investment but lower bill of materials in the end), but the adaptive refresh rate on OLED is likely more expensive, since they need different panels, but the Air has no pro-motion so it might actually make more economic sense... Again nobody here can claim to have exact pricing

Just downloading apps but can tell straight away with the screen. So much brighter and better contrast. Will look forward to trying out HDR

Yes, the camera causes it.

Does anyone really believe that the miniLED display is in any way worse than the screen it’s replacing? Seriously?

In some situation it may be worse based on some people's feedback

So far (been using mine a couple of hours) it’s definitely better in every way from the previous iPads I’ve had (which has included a 10.5 Pro and a 2020 12.9 Pro). I think you guys are the ‘Sour Grapes Bunch’
