I WANT TO, but no. I must resist new-gen temptation.
Truth is, for me today even a base iPad would work.
But when I bought my M1 12.9" Pro it was the only game in town as far as that size, and I wanted the nicer screen, more RAM and storage (16GB 1TB), as it was meant to be a laptop replacement (which didn't quite work out - I bought an M2 MBA I LOVE).
That said, I'm STILL amazed at how light mine is for its size, so I better stay THE HELL out of the Apple Store...
I actually think that getting a refurb M1 iPad now is a great, MBA M1-level value.
PS: I wish Apple made a standalone kickstand for all iPads like what they make for the base iPad (as part of their keyboard folio or whatever).
The trifolds are HEAVY, and with these things every gram matters.
