No hub/adapter?No hub, very crisp as well on my W-10 workstation, a little blurry on my M1. I did change the font smoothing in the terminal which seemed to have helped.
Macbook has no HDMI port.

Sorry, mine is a M1 Mini.No hub/adapter?

I looked up the specs and compared your LG32UN880 to my LG32UL950. I couldn’t locate your description above of LG2UN800, but found UN880, right? Very similar displays — difference being the Thunderbolt 3 technology for the most part.M1 Mac Mini Dual Monitor Set up:

Issue:
Running 11.2.2, Using a Logitech MX Master keyboard and mouse, bluetooth drops if computer is restarted. Bluetooth connection is fine once I log back onto the system, however I have to log on using a separate Logitech keyboard (this keyboard is connected to a USB-A Logitech Unifying radio receiver, plugged into the Mini’s USB-A port) and then reconnect the MX Master.
Fix:
My bluetooth connectivity work around is so simple that I’m surprised it even came to me. Logitech ships their products with USB-A radio receivers. That small dongle that most of us take for granted because we’ve become accustomed to bluetooth (I only used it with my separate less expensive Logitech keyboard). I paired both MX Master keyboard and mouse to the same receiver that was connected to my cheaper keyboard and plugged the receiver back into the Mini and NO MORE ISSUES. Doesn’t matter if I restart, lock my screen, log-off, etc. And honestly, there’s no difference that I can tell between being connected via bluetooth and using the receiver. Wasn’t using the USB-A port so thank goodness for extra ports.
Issue:
Cannot sleep the Mini when connected to the two monitors. If I try to click on sleep (upper left Apple icon, drop down menu, “sleep”) the monitors will not sleep and the LG will go black once and turn to what looks like an inverted contrast color.
Fix:
Cannot fix without restarting the Mini. Or, when I’m done for the day, use the “Lock Screen” function (upper left Apple icon, drop down menu, “Lock Screen”). This will keep the colors on both monitor and TV normal and leave it normal until I log on again. So there is something with the sleep function. Perhaps it’s the system software, perhaps the result of HDMI? So far using the two HDMI cables has worked well and is convenient so I don’t plan on changing to DP or USB C. I’ve also read that for the LG monitors, the color presets are not available outside of HDMI or DP (and I’ve found them to be useful) so I probably won’t be going USB C for that reason alone.
Conclusion:
For both monitors, I use a scaled 1980 x 1020 view. The text is crisp and there’s a good amount of screen real estate for my needs. I've tested 4K 60Hz on both monitors, no issues. So far I've been very happy with this setup. The Mini is a powerhouse and I've been thoroughly enjoying using it to consume 4K content and do web browsing and email.
Yup... the UN880-B, here's the link to B&H:I looked up the specs and compared your LG32UN880 to my LG32UL950. I couldn’t locate your description above of LG2UN800, but found UN880, right? Very similar displays — difference being the Thunderbolt 3 technology for the most part.
I might try to the Lock Screen option, however, it seemed with DisplayPort setting on the monitor at 1.4 I would find the system had restarted on it’s own at times. Will give this a test today.
I will clarify my connection. I am running USB-C to USB-C (Thunderbolt 3) cable (supplied from LG) from the M1 to the LG. The DisplayPort 1.4 to 1.2 is a setting on the monitor itself. The connection is only stable when I change this setting on the monitor from 1.4 to 1.2. I tried several different cables that support up to 40 GBPs — I can tell when I run 1.4 setting the display and M1 function very FAST — but I have the sleep/wake and restart issues. So perhaps someone can explain more to me as well on what I’m really getting until Apple creates a fix “so they say they’re working on”?Yup... the UN880-B, here's the link to B&H:

So it randomly restarts with DP 1.4? Interesting... that was going to be my second option had the HDMI not worked. Curious.... since you have a really nice Thunderbolt Display, why aren't you using the 40 Gbps Thunderbolt to Thunderbolt connection? I guess DP 1.4's 38 Gbps is almost the same.
The only thing I've noticed when using "Lock Screen" in order to make my LG monitor not do its weird color invert is that if I lock the computer (the Mini is not technically sleeping yet) and then the Mini sleeps, the LG will still be affected. However, if I turn off the LG first, and then I click "Lock Screen," and then power off my Sony, all's well when I turn the LG on again.
****General question for anyone readying this post:
What I don't understand from my Google knowledge quest.... is how are people are getting 4K 60Hz using USB-C since USB-C tops out at 10 Gbps. 4K 60Hz requires (on HDMI) about 17.82 Gbps. But most USB-C monitors on the market advertise 4K 60Hz. What am I missing?
I'm guessing this is because USB-C carries the Display Port signal? So... from the back of my M1 Mini, I'd have to go out from USB-C and run a cable to the DP input on my LG monitor? Amazon sells these cables... Or I guess you'd have to buy a USB-C to DP adapter and then run a DP to DP cable to your monitor?
But what about the people who run USB-C from the back of the Mini... straight to a USB-C input on their monitors? That's only 10 Gbps. I'd appreciate it if someone reading this could shed some light on that for me. I ask because I may want to use USB-C in the future for other computer to monitor connections.I’m using a USB-C to USB-C cable (supplied from LG) from the M1 to the LG.
Gotcha.... well best of luck getting this figured out. Hopefully Apple releases an update soon.I will clarify my connection. Correct, the 50hz over HDMI is a limitation of the HDMI implementation of the monitor. You need displayport to hit 100hz or 120hz (overclocked).Dell\Alienware AW3418DW
HDMI to HDMI was limited to 50hz at 3440x1440.
DisplayPort to USB-C allows me to select 100hz at 3440x1440

Congratulations! It’s nice to hear reports of those with the M1 and a monitor that does NOT have issues! I hope to be in the mode one of these days!.....Have added my Dell P2421DC to the list. M1 MM received yesterday and have had no problems. Cheotech USB-C to DisplayPort cable recommended on the RGB monitor thread and works fine (https://www.amazon.co.uk/CHOETECH-DisplayPort-Thunderbolt-Compatible-MacBook/dp/B0744GWJ8X)
now just need to decide on speakers & webcam & retire my iMac
I hope I don’t regret my post! Had to make a minor change to get Sidecar to work - needed to turn scaleable on.Congratulations! It’s nice to hear reports of those with the M1 and a monitor that does NOT have issues! I hope to be in the mode one of these days!.....
