Beginning to regret ordering the RayCue. Sent several emails to there support email and no response at all.
Anyone else try to contact them with no luck?
I did. No luck. I would like to have had the option in upgrading my order from the original two pre-ordered in November 2024 to the 40Gbps version supposedly available. Not a peep. I don't regret the order though. It's a good design that meets my needs - for now.

Aren't you a little worried about any support though?

What if you have an issue at any point?

They are straight up responding to nobody -- about anything -- not a word or reply of any kind

Yeah ... that's a problem. I was a little unsettled by the fact that they never initially offered the 40Gbps version in November. That came later ... sometime in December, I suppose. It's disappointing that no one appears to be manning their support email - or caring about customer service in Hong Kong.

Well, my dock has a slight issue. If I power on the mini with everything connected (HDMI, USB-C to the host, USB-C for power, USB-A going to a smaller hub with KB/mouse/ext hdd, usb sound device), the dock doesn't power on. Keyboard has no lights, etc.

As soon as I unplug HDMI from either the second monitor end, or the raycue end, the dock powers on immediately. I can then plug HDMI back in and it works fine until the next reboot.

Could alleviate by using a USB-C to HDMI from the mini itself, but then I loose a TB5 port to HDMI, which is annoying.

Up until Jan 11 I was getting response from RayCue support via Chat. On the 11th I asked about the additional ports on the 40Gbps and zero. Guess nobody is home.

I just went through and set up two PayPal disputes on these

This is just not the way to treat customers (completely ignoring all comms for almost a month)

Ordered my RayCue hub on Dec 14. Still nothing, in spite of their website saying everything would be shipped by January 10. Not great.

Well I've definitely gotten mine, I'm not a RayCue plant or anything. It was Christmas/new years/etc and maybe demand exceeded supply and they're constrained with backlog?

I agree that you shouldn't go dark on people like this, but I wouldn't assume that your dock isn't coming, or anything.

Just received a shipping notice even though I sent 3 different emails to cancel the order. Pretty scummy company if you ask me. Hopefully the dock works well because their customer service blows!

Didn't get an email as yet, but in my account I can see "YunExpress" (never heard of them) received shipment information the day before yesterday. Hopefully things will start moving now.

If you go for the 40gbps RayCue (and don't care about USB-A), what would be the benefit compared to a NVMe enclosure?
Only aesthetic?

Are there any other options similar to this with 40Gbps connection? I’ll likely order the dual NVME version when it’s in stock.

Listed on Aliexpress.

Its a nice stylistic touch to replicate the Mini bottom with the M.2 slots

I shall nevertheless wait around for more TB4/5 options since I'd want multiple monitor outs along with all the stuff that the Orico offers

Might be interesting for some: Mac Mini M4 enclosures looking like mini Mac Pros :)

Nice one, I didn't know about the Ulanzi, but I just got the Zeera one (in silver). Some differences between them, I really like the Ulanzi's proper cheese grater front - but making it a panel to take off to get to the front ports seems an odd choice. I also would miss the internal place offered by the Zeera for an external SSD enclosure, makes the setup that much neater if an external SSD is a permanent fixture with your Mini.

Nice and will match my two 2019 Mac Pros. But not so practical with the access to the ports.

The RayCue one looks good with SSD enclosure and is neat, but would be nice to have easier access to the power button. Given the comments above I will hold off and not order.
