I'd be interested to know how noisy the fan is on the Orico? Looks like an ideal solution if it's quiet?

How's it going for folks waiting on RayCue stuff?

My PayPal cases are both still "waiting for response from the seller"

Hopefully they'll just be getting decided in my favor so I can get my refunds

Raycue update

PayPal closed both cases in my favor and sent me refunds

Apparently RayCue didn't even respond to PayPal either

Something is very "not right" over there with RayCue
hum... I have a shipping number on my 40Gbps... but anyway should they ship it, I'd want to return it since the Orrico seems like a better option...

Since RayCue will not respond I'll open a dispute with my credit card company to get a refund.

Honestly, I'd buy nothing from RayCue if I were anyone thinking about it

If you do -- get it from Amazon or somewhere you can easily return it as the RayCue customer service is fully non-existent.

Garbage company trying to cash in on early M4 Mini dock/hub interest

Received mine just a couple of days ago directly from Orico. After turning the dock on, the fan started quite audible with a constant whining sound. By far too much for my personal preference, so the dock went back to seller (giving a try with the Hagibis one now).
Orico informed me, that the fan issue was solved in later production runs, however I'm not able to confirm that.
It would have been the ideal solution, especially with the two NVME slots (one for external storage, one for time Machine) but not with the fan situation I faced.

P.S.: Just to add that by the pace they handled the complaint and refund, I assume I was not the first one returning the dock to them.

Well, I just received both products at the same time.
I’ll test them both and report back here!

Alright... first up the Orico Mini Link. Unfortunately this did not take long, the product is simply too noisy.
Let me clarify that this is not extremely noisy per say, if you are in an office environment, you might not be too disturbed by it, but if you have a completely silent home setup, this will be a constant and disturbing noise. Certainly not one I want to keep up with. That's a shame because, otherwise, what a great potential.
I'll see how I can return it through Aliexpress then... wish me luck :)

Raycue on the other hand, is perfectly silent, and speed is decent. Seems to be USC type 4.

I can also vouch for the RayCue 40G -- Been running it most of this week, flawlessly, with my Gen4 NVMe boot drive in there
