Yes, D500/6-core. What area? I'm downloading the DEMO right now.
Sent you a PM with some easy things to test in the demo, thanks!

Ahh, you used Vantage. Can you use standard 3D Mark as that checks all the system including DirectX 11 and uses both GPU's.
For comparison, here are results for dual D700's on an 8 core

Some Vray for Maya 2014 Osx stats:
Maya 2014 SP3 running vray (non beta) 2.4 stable build from chaosgroup

iMac vs Mac Pro...big difference.
Yeah, me too.So jealous. I'm looking at another 4-8 weeks (depending on what "February" means).
Please run the standard 3d Mark so we can compare to d700
Reinstalled my environment in windows..I'll test 3dmark shortly.
For Photoshop performance I'm handling 32 bit 8k textures with multiple layers (about 20 or so) pretty fluidly...not seeing any slow and the save time is about 12 seconds or so.
Could you please run prime95.
Monitor the temps on the CPU and see if it ends up throttling.
Cheers.
Step carefully with that one, don't fry your cpu.
You can't fry your CPU under prime95. Please don't spread such incorrect statements.
You can't fry modern CPUs. People kill them ocerclocking, via voltage.

Well first off, I too am interested in what the nMP under clocks to under stress.
But I said step carefully. Thats good advice imo. This is a brand new machine and your asking the OP to run a Prime95 (created for stress testing) on it. There is always some risk involved on a machine that has only just come out to put it through this wouldn't you agree? Especially as the test is designed to overheat your CPU to see what happens.
