Polaris 11 would be MacBook Pro. Polaris 10 could even imply iMac. I've been surprised to see no Vega support, which I'd expect for a new Mac Pro.

Not unusual for Mac Pros to ship with special OS X builds though.
Isn't vega "ready to go" status?

The GPU is ready to go, but there haven't been drivers yet.

It's not totally unusual. Final or new device specific drivers aren't supposed to leak into the OS, but especially with GPUs they sometimes do. For example, I don't recall any reports of strong Thunderbolt 3 support leaking into Mac OS builds.

The thing is that for the Mac Pro form factor, there's some custom PCB involved for the GPUs. I don't know if that would speed up or slow down the process.

I would guess that Apple would have early Vega samples, but again it all may not matter if their whole desktop line is delayed. Which is stupid in itself.

Vega is not released not because it is not ready. Architecture is ready from very long time(at least June). They wait for... other things, with releasing it first.

When FUDZilla and VideoCardz reported that Vega will appear in professional market this year, they might have meant it will be in Mac Pro.

Today I read even on the Mac mini, seems at MWC was listed an storage expansion enclosure for usc-c, shaped as a Mac Mini then retired from listings, I still can not confirm but I read few tweets, but some tweets that alleged a screen capture just showed an Old Form Factor USB3 expansion.

Maybe DarkNetGuy was Jhonny Ive trolling us. with a Jump-Forward-rumor tactic.

Anyways, tomorrow is the day that tells if I will stay with Apple on computer side or move on to Windows.

Yup, seems many are right there with you. Me, I already switched. I really like Windows 10, and being able to customize/upgrade parts.

However, because my lust for tech in general is bigger than my lust for each player, if Apple surprises, I could move back :)

With the iMac and the display rumored to be no shows, I'm less optimistic. I still believe most the sources that are talking about it existing, I just think Apple is messing with the dates.

Who knows. I heard a lot about the 2013 but got the announcement date wrong with that one too. I thought it would be end of hear but it was WWDC.

I find it hard to believe they'd have a big Mac-centric event and not have any desktops announced at it. The iMac folks think they're not getting an update until early 2017. Mac mini folks are hopeful, but about as convinced the mini has been discontinued as we are about the Mac Pro. I think with the Macworld source saying new Mac Pros coming out next month, maybe they will actually announce something today? My expectations are abysmal at this point but I think the Mac Pro at least is in the running for a desktop announcement today.

I'll come back to Microsoft when they Rebirth Xenix, which it's unlikely to happen with Indian engineers controlling tech industry (cheap workforce but not the best while good, neither the most quality driven people) and o feel the same about Google and its Pixel Phones are a sad advance.

Other expected updates are the Airport Extreme and Timecapsule, just getting certified wireless and increases throughput.

One more thing?none, but I'd like to see an MacOS based NAS appliance as some ultra cheap ARM Based MacBook ala chromebook.

I believe wee will see new desktop today while maybe not available tomorrow maybe next month.

This are the forecast for announcements today:

New MacBook Pro and Air (or just another retina MacBook): 100% for tomorrow with intense drops of magic toolbar (as named by darknet guy last June) and with TouchID.

New iMac: refreshed line up to be visible with a 80% of chances to drop next month, showing AMD GPU and Thunderbolt 3 technology.

New Mac Pro: 50% chance to drop models updated with E5v4 and AMD gpu some available next month but some other gpu available q2/17.

Mac mini: small to little chance to be seen today but some witches forecast it to comeback today or Q2/17 along an 5K Cinema Display (non Thunderbolt).

The standalone 5K Retina Display to arrive will be just an Cinema display with USB-C input (maybe hdmi / dp too), and non Thunderbolt, a Thunderbolt version w eGpu acceleration will be useful only for base Macbook Pro w/o dGPU so unlikely to see it very soon until there is a market for it. And unlikely w/o gpu acceleration since mst dp1. 2/thunderboltl has little sense since don't leave bandwidth to Daisychain another display or bandwidth hungry ssd.

I really hope that we 're going to have something positive about the Mac line, or at least a serious statement, not just a "stay tuned" etc, to share with us their vision, the vision of the present day's Apple, about the Mac future, so we will be able to take decisions and plan our route.
