Nothing particularly special, but whatever:

*snip*

Work desk is pretty similar, but two displays instead of one.

Are those Klipsch bookselfs? I really want to rock a setup like that for my Pro, how did you do it?

They certainly are :)

I have it set up to push the audio over optical into the receiver on the right side of the photo. The only downside is that I have to control the volume through that, which is a little inconvenient but not the end of the world. At some point I'm going to rearrange my work area and put the receiver vertically next to the Mac Pro, so instead of having to lean over to the side to adjust volume, I can just reach down.

Didn't the receiver come with a remote? ;) How much did that run you, if you don't mind me asking.

It did, but it's faster to lean over and spin the dial than deal with the remote :D

As for price, the speakers were about $300, receiver was another $300 or so, and the subwoofer (not pictured) I got for $250ish if memory serves.

What's the whiteboard for, Spanky? Just curious; I know I'm getting mine for calculus, I have a tendency to occasionally screw up and waste pages of paper.

Not bad. I'll have to look into that when I get money.

Notes, diagrams, heavy maths work that I'm likely to get wrong, random ideas, basically anything that's not formulated enough to go in my work journal. :) I'll often take photos of it with my iPhone if its something I'll want to refer to in future, either that or copy it down to my journal.

 It's so SIMPLE! A whiteboard! My days of scribbling on bits of paper at times when I can't be bothered to turn on my Cintiq are over.

I can't believe I didn't think of it earlier. Thanks Spanky/ Pants!

Here is mine. Just got the Mac Pro set up this week (had to return the initial one. would not boot and even the local apple store could not bring it back to life)
Don't judge me to harshly as a result of the Gateway on the right. I only use it to rip Bluray disc. VNCing into it was easier than going the bootcamp route.

Why is vcning easier than bootcamp? Just wondering?

and if you vcn does this mean you can see the mac from other platforms such as windows? or use mac to see others such as windows?

awesome desk where did you get it?

Probably because if you have to reboot to Boot Camp then you also have to make your machine virtually useless for the duration of the DVD rip - if you're usual workflow is OS X dependent, of course.

Yes, if you use vnc then you can control your Mac desktop from the PC and vice versa. If you've ever used Leopard's screen sharing then you'll know what I mean.
