Why would I you buy 4 year old technology based displays? I would rather buy a dell or samsung display that might be LED blacklit. Apple isn't worth it when there 4 year tech vs current.

For one, because it is 4 year old technology. It is proven and it works. I believe, while most things just work these days, my approach has always been to give something a while to be available on the market for all the kinks to get worked out. In addition, I received Apple Care free, for both displays... Plus I received an additional 5% off through the business channel. Did, I mention, that when I went shopping for this setup, a team of people helped me put together a system based around my requirements. While I consider myself technically competent, it was about the treatment that I received. If you could point me the direction of a Samsung or Dell store I would maybe reconsider. Also, the peace of mind that I have, knowing that if anything goes wrong with either of them in the next three years, I am less than 5 miles away from an Apple Store taking care of the problem. Plus when I walked into the Apple Store, they offered me a glass of Kool-Aid.

P.S. I don't want to hear any whiners about how big the picture is, I'm on my 10" Netbook and can see it just fine! ;)

Love the setup bro. Also, could u link to that wallpaper? Looks fantastic on those monitors!

The 4yr old tech in those monitors is still better then most stuff on the market today.

There's barely LED 30" monitors on the market? Samsung LX30 and LaCie 730 are the only two I know and they are both well over $2000.

I own a Dell 3007WFP, neither it nor the 3008W are LED backlit.

My updated workstation for this fall. I have a picture on the fourth page of my workstation before my little facelift.

Any questions just ask!

Thanks!

2nd monitor makes a HUGE difference ... go for it!

I recently got the 2nd 24" for $270 shipped, brand new in box, off ebay.

When getting a second monitor, I recommend trying to buy the exact same make & model as the one you already have. Looks nicer on your desk, and more importantly it becomes easier to match color/brightness/contrast for visual consistency ... if you're picky about that sort of thing (I am!).

Cheers

I agree. Heres mine. Really busy so it looks horrible, but at least I use it. Dual 23"s on articulating mounts. Nice to be able to rotate and move them around.

Theres must be someone that has connected 3 or more 24" Cinemas to their MP, anyone got pics of that?

Considering each one would take its own graphics card, it would be mighty expensive and someone would have to love apples 24".

That said, someone probably does.

Not that its the best combo, but you can connect two to one card... there are adapters for the display port. (Geffin and Altona both make one)

Well, i have seen one setup with 3 of those but i cant find it, 3 gforce 120 is really cheap and 3 of the 24" is cheaper then 2 of the 30" and people sits with that ;)

Would love to see one setup like that anyway ;)

what screens are you using and where did ya get the desk?

awesomely clean!

thanks !

I am using two Samsung 245B Plus. I dismounted the displaystands and just placed the Screens on my desktop table. If you put them side by side, they are standing really stable. But I never experienced a earthquake with them =P..

My desk is very old, don't know where it's from. It's massive wood and I painted everything white. I made the tablet on my desk myself, no big thing.
