A couple of you had Ikea desks and those inspired me. I've been in the market for some new office furniture, but hadn't really seen anything I liked. I spent most of the day assembling it, and I'm still not done loading the new furniture with my old stuff.

The rug is from Ikea, along with the desk and cabinet. That's ceramic tile under the rug - the first floor of my house is tiled. The chair came from Office Max. I'm fairly pleased with the quality of the Ikea stuff. This is the first time I've purchased it. It's above average for ready-to-assemble furniture.

Here is mine.. btw congratulations to all of you for taking great pictures.. that was harder than i thought it would be. i have poor lighting and it was difficult to get a good clear pict.

Nice photo! Love the desk... feels very classy. The glasses on the desk are a nice touch too -- they add to that atmosphere! :)

LOL - Try 20. I can't ready my MacBook Pro's logo from 6 inches away without my glasses! (No joke, sadly.)

The way your glasses were placed on the desk just somehow fit in with the photo... if that makes any sense...

Sounds a bit like an apartment I looked at in Balmain when I thought I was moving to Sydney. The owner was retired from the Sydney Ferries and was apparently quite taken with the color scheme.. :eek:



I put a deposit down on a different place.
