This is more like it Apple's holding delivery date of May 27 has now been revised by UPS to this Wednesday, May 18th.

However, people have been experiencing delays at Hong Kong airport, where there appears to be a freight backlog, of about 3 days. This makes Wednesday look doubtful unless my order is routed via Taiwan.

I'm registered with UPS. Otherwise the delivery window (11:30 AM - 3:30 PM) would be less specific. It was "By 7:00 PM" before I logged in to my UPS account.

I'm already at Hong Kong airport. Am I going to get stuck there for three days or not If so, I'm probably looking at delivery Friday or Saturday, not Wednesday.

My UPS delivery date was also updated to Wednesday May 18th. Mine has been sitting in Chek Lap Kok, Hong Kong since May 13th at 5:39.

Apple is still showing the 26th.

So there's still a freight backlog at Hong Kong airport. Once computers leave Hong Kong for Anchorage (for US delivery), delivery is quite rapid. We're just got a bottleneck in Hong Kong.

I think that Apple's delivery date is just an initial holding date until UPS takes over, and that after UPS has the package what Apple's order page says is irrelevant.

A few days ago, someone's order was sent from Hong Kong to Taiwan to Anchorage, I assume as part of dealing with the delay problem in Hong Kong.

Mine also went to Taiwan afterwards and then Germany, Abu Dhabi and finally the UK.

Mine has updated to say the package is delayed and delivery will be rescheduled (it’s sat at Hong Kong since the 12th). Guess my Wednesday delivery is out of the window, but perhaps my Mac Studio is about to go on a world tour like others have. 😄

Exactly. And as noted in the post two above, Apple itself says that if you want up-to-date info on tracking, go to the tracking/UPS page.

I think that the initial Apple delivery date is just an outside, worst case delivery date that has no practical significance once UPS has the order.

Update on a group that ordered a Studio Max late March/early April with specs 32 core graphics, 64GB memory and 2TB storage.

As of this morning, all orders have shipped and are at Hong Kong airport. However, UPS delivery dates are slipping because orders are moving slowly at the airport due to an apparent freight backlog. The airport has become a bottleneck for Mac Studio orders.

Order dates and status as of May 16, 11PM local time at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG):

Caveat: that was my original delivery date, but I asked UPS that it be delivered a week later when I am actually here.
Ironically, the time we are leaving on Wed got pushed out so I *might* have been home to take delivery as our UPS guy tends to deliver to me early on his route. Regardless, very happy that its (almost) here!

Mine has been sitting in HK since the 12th - was originally scheduled by UPS for today and updated this morning to a Thu. 19th delivery.

Apple just put a pending charge on my card. I ordered the M1 Max 24c gpu, 64GB RAM 512GB on the 22nd of April from Italy. The order status is still "processing".

Funny side note: Now I get excited every time I get a "Your receipt from Apple" email. Then when I open the email it's inevitably something like a $2.99 charge for "iCloud+ with 200 GB of Storage." Sigh. 😜🙄😅

After 4.5 days, it’s finally departed Hong Kong.

Hopefully that means it will be to you by Wednesday. It apparently moves quite fast once it starts moving from Hong Kong.

Mine had been there since the 13th, so if your timeline holds true, I’d expect mine to depart tomorrow.
