Still no update. I’m starting to become furious (I know, I’m wrong). Shipped on the 17th, supposed to be delivered on Monday (there’s no way it happens) and absolutely no update from either dhl or apple.
That’s bs, they could provide us with info even though they use different carriers.

As I said previously, I’m supposed to send back my macbook pro (trade in) and I’ve lost 1 week already.

First time I buy a cto, and first time I find apple customer service to be horrible.

Sorry guys for this negativity.
I it's unacceptable when we spend so much money (in my case 3000€) on a product to NOT HAVE A SINGLE UPDATE on the order 9 days after it has "shipped"...

Mine just toggled to shipped. I ordered about 15 minutes after the event concluded on March 8th: M1 Max 32 core GPU, 1TB SSD, 64GB RAM. Expected delivery date was quoted as 3/30-4/6 and now it says 4/4 arrival. 😎

Yeah it's really annoying, especially when everyone else is getting detailed status from China...
I understand the logistics delays are outside of their control but they should be transparent about what's going on - it's not like we can cancel our orders at this point anyway

Just tell Apple. They'll give you more time on the trade in.

I’ve had no update in almost 4 days and mine is in China with UPS. They’re no better either…

So from Monday to Tuesday and now I have an estimated delivery day of Wednesday! Seriously, what’s with the hold up in Shanghai? It’s just not moving at all and I’m definitely starting to become impatient.

Patience is a virtue!

Spare a thought for us in the late April->June months...

Absolutely, I wouldn’t have minded if it was still on Preparing to ship but it’s the fact it’s been shipped and now having a 4 day plus holiday in Shanghai that’s making me impatient for it, haha

Fingers crossed the shipping hiccups are a thing of the past for all you guys in June

I think the Mac Studio needs a breather before you start using it! :D

Deliveries are more likely slowed down as less people are allowed to gather up in a single building, or logistics centers are shut down entirely.
The media only reported on Shenzhen but other areas are likely affected by new measures.

Just an educated guess obviously, but China takes COVID very seriously, when infections first broke out you flat out couldn't leave your residence if you were in highly impacted areas.

Yeah you're absolutely right. There are COVID outbreaks happening everywhere especially in logistic centres so I guess that could've happened in Shanghai too...

Actually I just did a quick Google search and it appears to be the case...

UPS has implemented pandemic prevention measures in accordance with the requirements of the guidelines issued by local governments for pandemic prevention and control of inbound in the following areas in China Mainland: Shenzhen, Dongguan, Zhejiang, Suzhou (including Kunshan and Changshu), Quanzhou, Guangzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Yancheng, Shanghai, Shandong, Hefei and Chengdu.

It is now in Shanghai and says March 28 delivery.
I hate to burst your bubb
When tracking shows "Origin Scan" it means UPS has picked it up. Until then it's still waiting to be picked up. BUT... tracking is often delayed, so it's possible UPS already picked it up but the tracking won't show until tonight. That happened w/ my Studio Display. Tracking # showed up around 3pm but "Original Scan" didn't show until around 8pm even though the Original Scan showed p/u happened around 6pm.

So yours should get picked up today for Monday delivery.
it's weird for two whole business days now UPS only shows a label created with no delivery date on the UPS site.

Apple shows a delivery date of Monday, March 28.

If I don’t see any activity by end of the day Monday I’ll call Apple. Hopefully, it’s just a tracking issue and Apple didn’t forget to give it to UPS :)

Looks like the wait is going to be longer than what I thought. I don't see a single UPS flight scheduled to depart from Shanghai at least for the next 3 days.

I ordered on the 3/15 and Have a 4/13 to 4/17 delivery date. I got notification yesterday morning that Apple had charged me for the Studio. That sure seems early since it is still in prep with no hint of shipping yet. Is this normal that they charge so far ahead? I am used to Amazon that does not charge you until it ships.

While I wait for my Studio Display I started to set up the Mac Studio with an old display.

FYI if you don’t have an Apple Keyboard and Apple Mouse you might want to have a wired version on hand.

My Logitech mouse didn’t work during the setup process but luckily I had an old wired mouse sitting in a box. I didn’t try to put the Logitech mouse in pairing mode. Perhaps that would have worked but who knows.

Yeah, I had a really tough time because I initially tried using my Logi MX stuff to setup. They would not pair wirelessly, and apparently even after connecting them via USB they are still communicating wirelessly. No go. Eventually got it to work with an old Magic Mouse and a Satechi keyboard, USB connected.

So I'd strongly recommend to anyone not using Apple peripherals to make sure they have wired kb and mouse on hand for setup.

Yep, I had the same issue with a Mac mini M1 a few weeks back but got solved with an old Apple Mac wired keys and mouse that I have for these kind of situations ;)

There are plenty headed in to Incheon (and on to Shanghai) and Hong Kong and back to Anchorage, so I think planes won't be an issue. It may just be backlogged shipments to get out, and recent tracking info posts here look like we're going to have about a two day wait. If that were true, it would make the Tuesday estimate I'm getting look about right.

The MX series don't connect over a wired medium - so it's wireless only. Even if you use the receiver, obviously.
