Mine has been stuck in HK since Friday. I was hoping that HK was not going to have the problems that Shanghai has been having, but no such luck. Still sitting at the airport.
Jeez, and I was thinking surely it wouldn’t be held for more than 5 or so days… I guess it might be! UPS have wisely abandoned the now-missed delivery slot for me now and replaced it with “The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible.”

This is starting to feel like a lot of hassle just to upgrade the base spec Max from 512gb to 1tb, as I could’ve easily picked that up somewhere for next day delivery.

@Rich2Putt got his Studio over a week early though, that seems like a good thing. It would be nice to get both together but if they both come when promised or early that seems adequate. Like, I'd rather get one early and one on time than both late for sure. I ordered my display a little bit after my Max Studio so I can't complain--assuming my display comes by 4/14, the last day of my estimated delivery window.
I'm not suggesting that this would apply to all deliveries, and the default would remain 'we will deliever each item as soon as we can'. But the Studio Display, keyboard and mouse aren't really of any use to me until I get the :apple:Silicon Mac, so I would rather receive them when they are all ready. Amazon already offer this as an option:

I understand that Covid is wreaking havoc in China right now, but it is too bad that UPS couldn’t have given a proper estimate. My Studio Mac was scheduled to arrive today, and my Studio Display was stuck at “processing”, so I found a local store with one and stock and went out of my way to pick it up to be ready for my mac. Now it is looking like I could have just waited and they both would have probably shown up at the same time.

Same thing for me. 1tb and went with the 32 core GPU. Mine has been sitting since Saturday with the same “The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible.”

Right - there's been radio silence since it left Koeln. I don't see any flights scheduled for CGN-UK today.

Generally when they say it's left, it has left the facility - but you're right, it could be waiting to be loaded onto the next flight.

UPS still has the elusive "The delivery date will be provided as soon as possible." note about the delivery date, but I'm hoping it's tomorrow. I'm meant to be in office on Friday :/
Mine has just popped up in Essex:

21:12On the Way
Arrived at Facility
Stanford Le Hope, United Kingdom
06/04/2022
7:34
Departed from Facility
Koeln, Germany

Looks to be the UPS London Hub. I have no idea how it got there, but truck seems likely. My UPS delivery estimate is still tomorrow morning.

EDIT: And Apple have changed from ‘Arrives soon’ to ‘Arrives Thu Apr 07’ - I’m starting to believe my Mac Studio might be here tomorrow :D

I was about to add a comment but you beat me to it!

Isn't Stanford Le Hope in Essex? I think it's one of the London hubs as I know there's a few dotted around the place.

I still don't have a date from UPS, and Apple still says Arriving soon... I guess it will arrive tomorrow :)

Odd that you don't have a date yet - you are in London, correct? I'm in Shropshire, so still a few hours drive via our local UPS hub. I hope mine gets going again soon - it has further to travel!

Yep, I'm in London. I suspect they'll get driven the local depots tonight / early morning, then delivered tomorrow.

Shame I'm stuck in meetings from 1200-1730

I'm quite busy with work tomorrow, and I can be at home on Friday, so this is OK. I guess 'Eurotunnel' confirms it didn't fly from Cologne 😄

I suspect there might be another hub (or two) between London and Stoke (my local hub), so Friday gives them a bit more wriggle room. That is the good thing with East Midlands airport (where the Cologne flight will land in ~3 hrs 😠) - it is just down the road from Stoke, so deliveries can easily get sent out later the same morning.

Makes sense, I still think they can get it to your regional hub tomorrow. If you're lucky, you might get a knock on the door... late tomorrow

Looking forward to setting it up with the Studio Display?

Yes I am looking forward to setting it all up. I briefly tested the Studio Display with the other half's MacBook Pro. My new Studio setup should be a significant improvement on my current Late 2012 27" iMac. It has served me well for the last 9.5 years, but the last supported MacOS update is Catalina, and with 16GB RAM it struggles with videos, large Photoshop files and 1hr+ narrated PowerPoint lectures. What model Mac is your Studio replacing?

A difference may be that Amazon are literally a warehousing company, with lots of things on shelves ready to go out. Whereas particularly for the New Hotness, Apple are almost certainly shipping product as they roll of the line. Introducing an option to aggregate orders means having to store the constituent pieces somewhere, until they can all go out - which costs money and introduces additional logistic challenges. They may not perceive the marginal benefit to a handful of customer to be worth the additional infrastructure and logistic design.

I'm a bit late to the party here but placed my order yesterday for the base model M1 Max 10/24 with 32gb RAM and 512TB. Currently showing as delivery between 29th April and 9th May.

Here's hoping for the earlier end of that date range!

Right but...in the larger scheme of things the burden of setting one package aside until the other arrives seems awfully small.

Damn, my Studio Ultra 64GB/2TB was ordered on March 12 and still shows as "Arrives May 31 - June 15." So I ordered roughly 3 weeks before you, yet the delivery window is a month later than yours. Hopefully mine will get updated and will deliver earlier, or I really lost the configuration lottery. 😄 Good luck in any case!

Mine is languishing in Hong Kong for the 4th day it appears. No real updates since 4/2. The Apple order page shows 4/14 delivery date, so Im hoping it shows up next week, which is still a week earlier than the original estimate.
