Mine is languishing in Hong Kong for the 4th day it appears. No real updates since 4/2. The Apple order page shows 4/14 delivery date, so Im hoping it shows up next week, which is still a week earlier than the original estimate.
Same here.

64gb has a major delay. Just play with the apple store sight. 64gb jumps to 10-12 weeks.

Do all orders say “express delivery” by the delivery dates? I messaged apple CS yesterday to ask if my order was delayed since I’m already inside my delivery window for my ultra (4/6-4/13) and CS responded something about “next day delivery”, which from everything I’m reading here seems super unlikely.

Australia-based here: mine's been sitting in Shenzen since 31st March, standard Max model. Apple page says 'Arriving Soon' and that's it.

March 13th order of a 10/32/32/1TB, still waiting.
It was scheduled for April 12th (delivery in Japan), and now it say only "soon", I don't know what it means exactly.
According to Yamato's tracking system, it has been in Shanghai since March 31st.

My March 23rd order of a 10/32/32/1TB with expected delivery date of 25-29 April has just moved to preparing to ship :)
I ordered the exact same system the 22nd of March with a delivery window of 22-28 April. It is still processing, but seeing your progress I expect/hope it to change status soon (also the reservation they did on my Credit Card will expire soon, so they better start billing/shipping ;)). Destination is Europe/Belgium.
I’m looking forward to it, as this will be my first Mac ever. Due to the long waiting periode I feel like I’m already bonding with the system before we’ve actually met 😆

Mine arrived today, after shipping 3/31 and leaving Shanghai on 4/5.

Happy to report fan can only be heard with ear RIGHT up on that exhaust. m1 max
All of this, almost identically.

Haven't had much time to play with it yet, but even when benchmarking via Geekbench and GFXbench, I couldn't hear anything. The machine sits just out of arms reach, behind my arm-mounted ultrawide, with nothing behind it (my desk looks out into the study, rather than facing the wall.)

Mine has been stuck in HK since Friday. I was hoping that HK was not going to have the problems that Shanghai has been having, but no such luck. Still sitting at the airport.
I'm wondering if they've started to route things through HK vs. Shanghai ? Sounds like there is a large backlog forming, not helped by Covid staffing. As I said above, let's hope that it doesn't end up as another post-brexit situation. UPS were awful at handling backlog and I had some items that took > 4 weeks to arrive.

Of course this is a first world problem. I hope the people working in these places are safe and well (and this situation makes us realise how much we rely on them!). My frustration is with UPS not able to provide a sensible status of the shipment- even a basic one liner to set the context would help.

It seems as though delays of a week or so have been typical, but maybe things are getting worse rather than better? I guess if lockdowns have reduced capacity significantly then backlogs are only likely to increase.

My frustration is with UPS not able to provide a sensible status of the shipment- even a basic one liner to set the context would help.
Yeah, if they had a status update saying delays of X were likely for everything departing Shenzen/HK at least people would have a vague idea of what to expect.

Yes I am looking forward to setting it all up. I briefly tested the Studio Display with the other half's MacBook Pro. My new Studio setup should be a significant improvement on my current Late 2012 27" iMac. It has served me well for the last 9.5 years, but the last supported MacOS update is Catalina, and with 16GB RAM it struggles with videos, large Photoshop files and 1hr+ narrated PowerPoint lectures. What model Mac is your Studio replacing?
It’s replacing a Mac Pro 2019, so two new machines for me :), albeit one is a 1u rack.

Mine hasn’t left Stanford Le Hope yet, I thought deliveries were posted out around 7-9AM?

Same across all specs and same order date.

Also same delay - previous April 7 - April 14 delivery window has been delayed today to Apr 28 - May 5.

First time that I’ve had an Apple hardware order pushed back (usually they tend to slip forward). Such are the times. 😬

Oh. My. Giddy. Aunt. It just flipped to 'Shipped'

20|48|128|8 Ordered 9th March with expected delivery date range 5-11 May in the UK.
Charged DC on 1st April, 'preparing to ship' on the 6th. Just shipped.
Apple delivery estimate still 5-11 May. UPS saying Monday April 11th.

Well in advance if true.

I was naively hoping it would have at least moved to “preparing to ship” today since it’s the first day of the window.

I’m a little miffed they waited until the first day of the window to push it back by 3 weeks since I don’t think it’s something that caught them by surprise overnight. But I feel Better knowing it’s not just me.

Same here... originally April 7-14... pushed back 2-4 weeks to April 28-May 5.

Also first time Apple has missed a window.

Seems like the 64gb is super delayed.

Day 7 of being stuck in Hong Kong, and UPS seems to have given up on my delivery …

”Package is delayed in transit. Delivery will be rescheduled. Check back or signup for UPS My Choice to receive updates.”

I’m not sure what “Delivery will be rescheduled” means.

I'm on Day 5. I'm guessing from experience they have no clear idea when it is going and this is just a holding pattern.

And from experience reading here that means it will ship in next 24-48hrs to a main hub, but there are delays in it being forwarded on to destination country / continent.
