Same cracking after the after im so angry i spoke with apple and they said i should give in my mac for hardware issues i told them it is software and they have no clue what the hell did apple fix in the patch a £3300 machine cant even play audio

You can call them and try your luck. They're pretty easy when it comes to that stuff judging from my experience.

the new firmware in Mojave is said to have resolved the crackling...
Mojave beta testers have said that the crackling is not present in recent Mojave updates...
are any Mojave beta testers still experiencing crackling with the most recent Mojave updates?

Nope... I sent it back weeks ago and was refunded.

Some guys on other forums are claiming that the speakers' playback quality has been reduced after the supplemental update 2 patch, like the high frequency of audio signal is cut... Anyone feeling the same?

yep, that's the first thing I noticed but I was in doubt about it, This happened right after I installed Mojave. I noticed the sound volume dropped a little bit, It wasn't as loud as in HS before the Sup Update 2

So it is the quality or the loudness of sound has dropped or sadly both? This could be very different... We may not need the maximum loudness that much but the playback quality is basically one of the main reasons I love this machine, I mean the first time hearing it is so impressive. If the sound quality are even dropped for fixing the crackling issue I suppose I may turn into a windows laptop just because of disappointing...

Unfortunately for me the crackling has damaged my right speaker...it buzzes on certain frequencies. Genius Bar on Saturday.

I haven't had any crackling on 44.1 kHz after the update. I use Logic Pro X too.

I'm waiting two years now to upgrade my old MacBook Pro
I hesitated to upgrade last year, because of the problems written on forums and same thing this year too...

also been clear of the crackling since HS update

the quality is the same, but first thing after Mojave I noticed is the loudness of the speakers less than before the update.
