why nobody talks about warranty replace? local dealer cheked my MBP twice and next week i'm waiting for new one, because it's speaker problem and APPLE do not have yet spare parts for new 2.2GHz BMP 15" so they replace my macbook with new one. i hope this **** story will end soon..
so they told you that the problem is HW? Update your story

Yes, exactly, i have faulty speaker on the left side. It makes crackling “electric” noise. And it’s very noticeable while movie watching..
Hope to solve your problem.
Keep us posted whether the new one does it or not.
(are you sure this is the sound that we see/hear in youtube videos posted here?)

question so I have my brand new 2018 MacBook pro 13 inch..I could have sworn I heard something, maybe a crackle maybe Im wrong..when I was downloading a file, but when I opened up iTunes and played a song I Heard nothing, is there something I can do to test to see if there is an issue my warranty expires this coming Friday so want to be 100 percent sure everything is fine

How it's possible that 2018 brand new and few days till warranty end?

i think he is not talking about the 2018 model, so he recently opened a never used 2015/2016 model

Im a she :)
Its a brand new MacBook pro 2018 that I got from Best Buy..i received it on August 30th, but I didn't open it til this week, so yes its obviously still new, I didn't order a refurb one LOL
Just want to know, what are some steps I can do to check to see if my speakers have any crackling issue..I thought I Heard something but maybe I was wrong

So if it is a 2018 then this cannot be true "my warranty expires this coming Friday"
You have warranty at least until August 2019 or maybe longer depends on where is your location

Yeah Im sorry, what I meant was that the warranty to return/exchange to best buy ends on Friday..what is the best way to check for crackling speakers, just listen to music and see what happens?

put to play some movie, and listen background... compare left and right speakers...

I don't experienced really hard crackling as some people describing or I can saw on the videos but when sometimes when I watching video on YouTube my speakers make a very little crackling sound (same as before suplementary update 2). Also I have turned on sound feedback to change volume and when I using in constantly (volume up/down) while watching video then I experiencing little cracking or temporary lack of feedback sound.

Anyone have similar issues?
The worst thing is that I don't experiencing it while using headphones :/

I'm having issues when muting volume.
For instance, when I play spotify, then i press the mute button (same happens by clicking "mute" in midi setup) and speakers make a "pop" before muting.

I also experienced popping randomly: nothing was playing and my mac (macbook pro 2018 15") started a sequence of "pop pop pop pop"....

I just bought this macbook... I think it's a software issue and I'm not going to return it. Is it a bad idea?

From this thread it seems that every new Macbook has this issue...

The Mojave GM is on the Apple developer website. It doesn't fix the issue.
