Can anyone recommend a neoprene sleeve for the 13" MBP Retina, similar to the Incase Icon, but with a zipper? A lot of the 13" MBP sleeves seem way too big for the Retina model :(

I have a Côte & Ciel. Awesome, with zip and fits perfectly!!!!

yep bookmarked!

Every site I go to mainly has the "compatible" macbook pro cases/sleeves/bags

been looking on Etsy but hmmm not my taste..

I highly recommend the Incipio Feather cases for rmbp 13 over the speck cases.

I have been using speck for about 5 years but the incipio is almost half the weight!

I also use a Thule TAS113 case which is perfect.

Using a briefcase case style "incase" made for the 13" macbook pro. Soft case, in black with handles and should strap (detachable) if needed or wanted. Case has soft inner sleeve for mac with zippered corner to attach charger, if needed. Also has sever zippered storage pockets and is small, but padded. Retail was $59.95,. Could have looked around and gotten it cheaper, but bought when new mac. Just looked at Amazon and boy, do I feel dumb. This case I paid $60 for can be had for $30.

Another fan of incase here. I went for the the Protective Sleeve Deluxe for my pro and absolutely love it. Super-protective and more than enough room for any cables or hard drives you have.

So what is the conclusion on shells? There are so many: Moshi, speck, ipearl, incase, ect...I need one for my Mid-2015 rMBP 15"

Here's the case that have I ordered off eBay for my about to be delivered in a couple of hours 13" Retina MacbookPro: (my case is khaki not black)

I will be taking it to school everyday so is there anything else I should buy for it?
I have read that screen protectors make the screen look worse and that keyboard covers can make it overheat and also damage the screen so I'm not planning on buying them unless you guys have had positive experiences with them.
Should I get a skin/wrap for my mac or a hardshell?

Hello everyone!

I just ordered a 15" rMBP and should have it in-hand shortly before Christmas day. I'm trying to decide on a good bag and have it narrowed down to these two choices:

Snugg Crossbody Shoulder Messenger Bag

or

Brenthaven Collins Slim Brief

I'm curious if anyone has experience with either and could offer some feedback. I'm leaning toward the Brenthaven. Although the Snugg seems to have a bit more room, I believe the Brenthaven might offer better overall protection.

Any thoughts are appreciated! (Even if you would recommend something other than these two bags, I'm all ears.)

Hi guys I have a late 2013 MBP retina and I am interested in getting a skin/sleeve for it.

I don't want a case, or a zipper sleeve bag, or a hard shell case. I am looking for something elegant, simple, sophisticated that will also protect my MBP retina. I am not sure what material, but I would like something thin, relatively soft/smooth, very durable that literally acts as a 2nd skin for my macbook pro protecting it on the outer surfaces and some bits of the inner (around the keyboard).

Does anyone know where I would be able to order a skin like that? Basically I want something like a hard sleeve case/shell except I don't want it to be a hard material. Thanks.

I got the Decoded leather skin from the Apple website for Christmas. I love it.

Although it doesn't happen very often, there are times when I need to transport both my MBP and my iPad Air 2. The other day I bought a solution for that: a backpack made by Osprey, called the Pixel Port. It's available at outdoor stores like REI and LL Bean (got mine at the latter) and also online. Although it looks small and is not bulky like most backpacks, this thing holds a surprising amount of stuff: the MBP (even the 15" will fit in there, albeit just barely), two iPads (Air and Mini), iPhone, wallet, sunglasses, papers, etc., etc. This will be great for going around town or traveling by air or by car.

I personally like the incase sleeves. They're simple and cheap and does the job! No need to spend $100+ on premium leather and wool, because that's going to help my protect my MacBook how??

I decided to get one yesterday from BB for $39.95, hoping that within the 30 day return/exchange policy incase will come out with a sleeve specific for the rMBP. The one below fits, but it's got a bit of slack. I needed one now, I've been paranoid since last week.

ehh, my thumb looks weird.
Smaller is more convenient to bring with u

My favorite combination so far has been a Best Skins Ever matte skin with a Snugg leather sleeve. I have the skin on the bottom, top, sides, and wrist rests. (Didn't bother with the trackpad.) Fits perfectly inside the Snugg sleeve, and then if I'm traveling, the Snugg with the laptop in it actually fits inside my laptop bag.
