Has anyone had any experience with the Incase hard shells they sell at the Apple Store?
I want so badly to put either a Speck or an Incase on mine just to try it out for awhile, but I always hear horror stories about how hard shells actually trap dust underneath them and scratch up your computer unless you remember to take them off and clean them out every month or so. I hate the thought of either of those things, so I have just stuck with a skin/sleeve setup.

I had a speck on my 2008 MacBook Pro. Green, so cool, I loved it. Totally got the dust scratches underneath though:/

My main problem is that they are expensive for what they are, had to be regularly cleaned, and almost always crack. For $50-$80 you might as well go for a high-quality sleeve.

Not the best picture, but my Speck case arrived today.

I recently bought myself a Case Logic Huxton, for my 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina Display. And it's totally fine. It may not be the best one, but I didn't want to spend too much on something needed only for carrying it easily with me. And I personally can't stand those sleeves. Never understood why people would get one, unless they've also got a bag to put it in. And that defeats the whole purpose to buy such a sleeve. But that's just me. I'll stick with just a laptop bag. xD

Anyway, I can put my iPad mini 4 in it and the MagSafe 2 adapter. Yet, there's still some room left for other stuff. Not too much, but it is enough for me. :)

Keep an eye on the rubber feet they tend to fall off. You might want to be proactive and use some better adhesive. I had two specks and lost the feet then the PC will slide around a lot.

With your Speck Case does the Apple Logo glows enough on the top cover from outside ? Did you also think about going for the incase hard shell ? out of the two which do you think allows the Apple logo to shine, glow more prominently ?

Dont buy a case. Waste of money. Breaks easily and just cheapens the look of the machine.
Sleeve: Booq Mamba on my 15" rMBP. No complaints does its job but its also a lint magnet but that does not affect me.

I have a case on my daughters Macbook Air so she doesn't scratch it up (she is 12). The case has taken a beating. What I don't like is it adds weight to the machine and also seems to put added stress on the LCD hinge. I have the black one like pictured above but don't use it all the time.

Do NOT buy this one: http://www.amazon.com/Speck-Product...7&sr=1-6&keywords=macbook+pro+2015+case+speck

I had it for 2 months and the edges have cracks and a chip. I baby my devices. The laptop moves from my desk to my lap on the sofa. Not sure what is causing the cracks. Heat stress??

I had the clear 13 Speck case (purchased at an Apple Store in April 2015), my Macbook Pro doesn't leave the house, my iPad is my outdooors/portable machine. Did the same thing - cracked on the corners of the lid - returned to Apple and was told they stopped selling them 4 months ago, could be due to the poor durability issue....

Replaced it with -
https://www.tech21.com/en_gb/impact-snap-case-for-apple-macbook-pro-13-retina
it feels similar to the official Apple Silicone cases, not sticky but not able to slide either.

Most cases add bulk! Why not use a skin like bodyguardz, Zagg or Wrapsol? Will not protect from dents if you drop it but for most other things they work really well.

Hi all, just got the new 13 retina pro, and was wondering about a good carrying solution. i currently have a incase bag pack which has a dedicated place to keep a macbook and another compartment to keep my books etc.. was wondering if this will be enough or should i buy a sleeve to keep it?? my old 15 pro was knackered and did not really care about scratches and dents.., but this on the other hand would like to keep as fresh as possible. also, is there something i should purchase for the bottom part of the mac do not get scratched when i put it on a surface like table etc..

thanks

Please can someone help my MacBook Pro when on Internet loads up a duplicate window of what I am on, then the original which was running turns into a pop up like page with ads.

Or my internet page has ads listed at the top side and bottom that won't let me get rid of them.

How do I get rid of this? Have I a virus? I have taken a picture but can't upload on here?

My safari on my rMBP acts strangely when I click on saved bookmarks on the tool bar. I would create a new thread as this is for cases

Actually the VERY SAME thing happened when I had the MacBook Air. I got this case for protection and it just sorted started cracking at the edges from out of nowhere. I'd only had the MacBook for a week and had never used it anywhere but my room and the living area. I take extreme care of my notebooks and hadn't dropped it or even bumped it any kind of way, so I have absolutely no idea what had caused the case to begin to crack.
I returned it when I exchanged the Air for the Pro.

I am looking for a setup similar to this case/bag - https://www.sfbags.com/collections/macbook-cases/products/zip-brief-macbook-case

My 13 rMBP needs a case/bag that I can store with my charger for when I travel and go to work. I really like the case listed above but the price seems a bit high. $200 after shipping seems a bit steep. Right? Surely there is a cheaper alternative out there that I can securely store my rMBP with charger that has handles?

Waterfield/SF Bags are great and they last forever. They're really well-made and thoughtfully designed. I've been using them for years, since my first iPad. I definitely recommend them. Yes, they're pricey, but this briefcase bag is something you'll be able to use for years and will look good doing it.

I am a bit hesitant since I have never heard of the brand, but as far as what the case does, it spot on for my needs. I may need to revaluate to see if I should just go with this brand. Do you have experience with this bag?
