Not that particular bag, no -- I have a couple in other styles -- The Muzetto and the Indy. The Muzetto is the bag which carries my 9.7 iPad (and carried her predecessors) and the Indy I used for my iPad Mini, which I no longer have, so I use the bag as just a purse for the time being. I may or may not get another iPad Mini at some point in the future. As I said, I've had these bags for years and have been more than happy with them.

Guys, how do you protect against the white spots showing up on your screen? I hear they may be due to pressure on the screen. Any sleeves that are rigid that don't allow the screen to pressed down when the mbp is squished in your backpack? Like the booq viper? Or similar will that get the job done?

I am a bit hesitant since I have never heard of the brand, but as far as what the case does, it spot on for my needs. I may need to revaluate to see if I should just go with this brand. Do you have experience with this bag?

There's no need to worry. Waterfield relies on word of mouth. I'm using their Staad Backpack, and previously used their laptop sleeve. They're expensive, but they use only the highest quality materials, they hand make each product to order, and their workshop is in San Franscico - a place with one of the highest cost of living in the US.

The laptop sleeve protected my old 2012 cMBP from a fall from a table with zero damage, and my Staad Backpack has protected my rMBP, iPad, and papers from walking through Rain Storms(I use transit). Can't recommend Waterfield enough.

For years I have used Radtech "ScreenSavrz," which is a thin microfibre cloth that fits over the keyboard so that when the rMBP is closed, the screen is protected from the keys or bits of dust or anything that might be on the keyboard. Never have had any marks on my screens -- check it out! http://www.radtech.com

You really have suede (see what I did there) my opinion on this one. That Staad Backpack looks FANTASTIC, and now I am torn on getting that or the laptop bag. I suppose the laptop bag may suit my needs better but the backpack looks top notch.

You will be fine. If you get out for less than $200, count yourself lucky. Waterfield addictions can get expensive. I have a medium cargo with leather flap, macbook sleeve, large waxed canvas muzetto, outback solo, travel express, large bolt briefcase, padded sleeve case with leather flap, and a bunch of their little accessory bags. And now they have two others I want. Sigh!
[doublepost=1460264503][/doublepost]A fun story about my Cargo bag (which I use to carry all my network tools). It was in the back seat of my work truck and my son spilled a jug of chocolate milk on it. I emailed HeyGary on advice how to clean it, and Gary actually answered. He told me to throw it in a sink, run hot water on it and scrub it with a good plastic brush, but try not to get the leather flap too wet, and to send a pick with the results. I was like, "throw my $300 custom bag in a sink and scrub it???" Gary was as good as his word, it cleaned the bag perfectly, and didn't damage it a bit. Plus I sent him a back a pic, LOL.
Their customer service is amazing, and they have custom built me several cases too my specs.

I've been using Waterfield Designs since my first iPad as well. I've always gotten the SmartCase for my iPads and can attest to high quality. I have had the Muzetto which was the highest quality bag I've ever had, I only sold it because I needed more space. My next purchase from them will be the travel size Bolt briefcase. That will be the gift to myself when I close one of the sales I'm working on.

Ordered on the 23rd, arrived in Canada today. Pretty happy with that turnaround time, and the product itself seems great so far.

My rMBP 13'' in woolen pouch.

i just took off my Incase case on my 2015 MacBook Pro Retina since it started cracking all around. It also never did have a good fit. I'm going to try going naked for a while. I'm sure I'll regret it but I can't stand how the case doesn't fit right like the mold was slightly off during manufacturing.

I travel with the MBP in a Timbuk2 quilted sleeve in my Tenba backpack. If I only need the computer, I'll use the sleeve and carry it in a Timbuk2 Commuter bag which has it's own padded section.

I have some dings on my MacBook pro retina 13. It's early 2015. They are minor and you can't notice them unless you look. I like the messenger back I have, but its thin. I was thinking maybe a sleeve would work better and want a good leather one, but can't seem to find any. I have looked through the thread as well. Pad and quill is nice, but they are expensive.

I'm using a Timbuk2 messenger bag (classic model) now and really like it. Very well-built, holds everything I need (I don't like to pack to much). I feel that the built quality is well enough to last me for many years. Just wish it had 2 water bottle holders instead of just 1.

If you carry your computer in a unpadded bag, like a messenger bag, do you really need a shell? I am thinking I should be OK with just a skin to prevent scratches in the bag. What do you guys think?

Also, any suggestions for a thin bag with a strap. I am looking for something thin like a sleeve with a strap. Just enough for the 15 rMBP and charger.

I checked this thread and it seems nobody posted about Jisoncase: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jisoncsae-...F8&qid=1467042654&sr=8-3&keywords=macbook+pro

I have to say I like it but I have a feeling that the rubber straps cover a part of the screen, which would make it... less exciting. My main goal is not to slash my wrists every time I type something. Yes, I know I'm typing it wrong. That aside, any options other than gel pads I have to remove when closing the laptop – or this?

Here's a pretty amazing deal at 78% off in the uk. I have it in both 13 and 15 inch, they are excellent quality.

Seller has some other great offers here.

Late to the party, but I'm going to be buying the new rMBP 13" (Whenever it comes out lol) this year. What are some good padded carrying cases? Also, if I get a padded carrying case do I really need some form of case?

The best case for it may not be designed yet, since the new 13" may be thinner.

Personally I like most of the things Thule comes out with. I got this one for my 2015> https://www.thule.com/en-us/us/comp...untlet-13-macbook-pro-sleeve-_-tl_85854221245

I figured the new one would be more thin. However, I also figured any current carrying case company would release a new one shortly after to match the spec changes.

That one you sent looks like a protective beast, does it have room for the charger and any adapters?
