Here are two cases I got today from Amazon for my 15" 2016 Space Gray. Both are pretty cheap but offer good bang for buck.

MoKo PU Leather sleeve - $17.99:
https://www.amazon.com/MoKo-MacBook...GCQM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1480032394&sr=8-1

Feels really nice in the hand. The inside isn't particularly soft material - it's sorta like a canvas material on the inside. Kinda worries me about scratch prevention. Reasonably padded. Flap stays shut with a magnet, but the magnet isn't particularly strong and your MacBook will fall out if you accidentally pick the case up or pull it out of your bag upside down, so be careful about that. Is made for the previous Retina machine but it fits like a glove with the new machine as well.

ProCase Sleeve - $13.99
15" - https://www.amazon.com/ProCase-15-U...8&sr=8-2-fkmr0&keywords=procase+macbook+pro15
13" - https://www.amazon.com/ProCase-13-U...480032572&sr=8-5&keywords=procase+macbook+pro

Again, feels really nice and solid in the hand. No padding offered in addition to the already cushiony main material, but it feels really protective because the material. Made out of a sort've felt kind of material, and has a super soft flannel lining on the inside. Flap closes with velcro so it is a lot more secure than the MoKo. Again, made for the previous Retina machine but the new one fits like a glove as well. The machine doesn't slide around at all - feels like it was made specifically for this model.

Thanks. Looks nice. It's encouraging that someone has posted it fits great for the 2016 15" MBP. I was concerned as the internal dimensions listed for this one are actually smaller than the official specs for the 2016 15":

Tomtoc 14" Internal dimensions: 13.5 x 9.5 x 0.5 in (see description here)

2016 15" MBP dimensions: 13.75 x 9.48 x 0.61 in (see this page, click on 15" model and scroll down to "size and weight")

Makes me feel hesitant still. If anyone else tries the Tomtoc 14" let me know.

For my 12 inch sleeve, the material is extension-type, and hold my 13 MBP w/touchbar like a glove, I think the 14 inch version is also the same, you can have a try and tell us your real experience. and it is not expensive

Are you by chance any employee of tomtoc?

I wish I was...lol
I intended to get one from Incase, but just found this more affordable and turned out to be perfect for my 13" MBP with touch bar!

In case anyone was wondering, here's the differences between the dimensions of the rMBP and the tbMBP (tb for Thunderbolt 3). I still think I'll be going with the InCase Diamond Wire for the 13" rMBP. The differences in dimensions are pretty minimal, and I'm a little bored of having the plain black neoprene for so long (otherwise I'd order the iPad Pro 12.9 one). The Diamond Wire looks a little more sophisticated and with the 50% off it's $10 more.

I ordered as a kickstarter a everyday backpack from Peak Design. This is my second bag from Peak Design and I am really happy with it. Is a very high quality back and it comes with dividers. It can carry my 15" Touch Bar, iPad, iPhone and a lot of other stuff. It can carry camera's, drones, clothes and you name it. Its really comfy. I am so happy with this bag!!

I sooooo want that one...i had one originally pre-ordered on kickstarter but then cancelled as we had just bought a house. My main concern was that the 20L wouldn't be big enough for me to bring my lunch in it (with ziploc/tuperware containers...and the 30L looks too big. I think the Thule I have now is 25L and it's good, but this peak design would probably make better use of space due to its design. What do you think?

Anyone pick up the Pack & Smooch case yet? I'm curious if I can stick an iPad in the silicon case inside the front pouch. A picture would be super cool!

I went to the Microsoft store this weekend to check out some of the Brenthaven Collins bags. I ended up not buying any one, but they were pretty decent. Apparently Surface sized things fit the new 13" MBP pretty well.

Collins Horizontal Messenger Bag
- Fit 13" MBP in the laptop pouch with 1.5 ~ 2 inches to spare on the side
- iPad fit in the laptop pouch and in the front zipper
- Enough room for a flatfish pair of headphones inside + charger + a few other things
- Pretty roomy, but bag doesn't stretch out much at all, wide things won't work too well
1766x1280_CollinsGraphite_VerticalMB_Front_356_285_80_s_c1.jpg

Collins Vertical Messenger Bag
- Much smaller than the horizontal, almost exactly the same size as the laptop in the back pouch
- Not much room for anything other than laptop and charger
- iirc there was a back pocket my iPad for into
CollinsCloud_Courier_Front_883_640_356_285_80_s_c1.jpg

Collins Courier Bag
- Inside main zipper was a pocket for a laptop and a separate one for a smaller tablet. Fit the 13" and 9.7 iPad perfect
- Next pocket is super slim, maybe room for charger and phone and some earbuds
- Felt a little big for not being able to cary much, but an all around decent minimal bag

My pack and smooch sleeve should be arriving today, I will take some pictures if it does.
[doublepost=1480068043][/doublepost]Does anyone have any recommendations for a messenger style bag that will fit my 13" MacBook in a sleeve, along with a small camera, some headphones and other little bits, that I can take on a plane easily? Needs to be preferably bought on Amazon in the UK! Im currently looking at the Crumpler Proper Roady Laptop Medium, but it's a bit pricey

It's arrived. First thoughts, the thickness of the felt makes it a lot more rigid than I expected, this is a good thing. Also, there is a goo amount of corner protection due to the way it's stitched. I actually have no concerns about dropping it on a corner, I don't think anything would happen at all.

I've received the same sleeve yesterday, very nice and good quality material for sure!!
Only concern I've got are the pressure points which are created by the closure system.
I don't know if this could do any damage when you would pack the sleeve tight in a case or something?
Off course, there is a big felt piece between this and the MacBook ..

initially I had the same concern but the piece of felt in between made me realise it would be fine. Plus they've made these cases for a while so I guess they know what they are doing. I know the magnet closure is new but I still think it would be ok.

The only thing I would possible change is to have the magnets inside the felt and not make them as strong, so that you don't have to be as precise with the magnet closure. This is a small complaint and doesn't change how I feel about it, it's more a preference than a complaint. People actually will probably like the secure closure of how it is now.

I know what you mean, had the same feeling while opening it for the first time.
The magnet is strong and some force is necessary to open the sleeve, which could result in pulling the magnet closure out of the sleeve. But I assume they do have a good aftersales process, should this happen.

Yeah, the felt is strong though so I think it would take a good bit of force to pull it out (I hope). Quality overall is great though, and as I said, the felt is thicker than expected and I think will give a surprising amount of protection.

Bought the 15" MacBook Pro retina incase icon sleeve to try on the 15" touch bar model.

Needless to say, I am not happy with the fit. At all.

Does anyone with a 15" MBP have a 13" Incase Icon sleeve?

Looking at the dimensions of the Incase Icon..Would a new 15" MBP fit in the either the Air or 13" retina sleeve? I'm unsure of the internal dimensions of the Icon.

2016 MBP 15" - 13.75 W x 9.48 H
ICON Sleeve with TENSAERLITE for MB Air 13" - 14 W x 10.5 H x 0.5 D
ICON Sleeve with TENSAERLite for MB Retina 13" - 14" W x 9.8 H X 0.5 D

How stretchy is the Icon Sleeve? The MBP 15" is only .95cm bigger width wise and .54cm height....I bet a MBA 13" sleeve would work.

Got an Incase Tensaerlite Sleeve for the Late 2016 15" MBP. Very happy with it, although I don't move my laptop around too much this padding on the sides is quite stiff but can be pressed, meaning that it will absorb the impact appropriately. Also, the new thinner 15" fits quite well, despite there being a tiny tiny bit of room still left that was filled with the previous gen MBP. But that's not so important. Magnetic strap is holding tightly.

Would recommend.

Btw, are there any shells (hard cases) coming for the new 15"? Definitely planning to get one but just doesn't seem that there's any around at the moment...

There is this i-Blason model on Amazon.com for $24.99 US and on the i-Blason site for $32.00 US:

https://www.amazon.com/MacBook-i-Blason-Soft-Touch-Frosted-Display/dp/B01M8O9OSE/

http://www.i-blason.com/15-inch-macbook-pro-halo-slim-case.html

I am tempted by the Frost Black one for my Space Grey MBP.

The i-Blason site says it isn't ready until Dec 7th, but there is no such message on the Amazon page. (UPDATE: I tested ordering this on Amazon.com and when checking out for a US address it says it would arrive between Dec 1-6 by free shipping - the only shipping option available for US addresses).

BTW, the above case is also available for the 2016 13" MBP model (says available Nov 30th - likely also on Amazon.com I'm guessing)

There is also an "Armorbox Tough Case" available from i-Blason in different colours - strangely only available for the 13" 2016 MBP model.

Clicking around on Amazon.com I see there is also a "Kuzy" brand of hard case/shell listed, but not available until ater Christmas... https://www.amazon.com/MacBook-Case-2016-A1707-Kuzy/dp/B01MXME581/

As none of these have currently launched, or have been reviewed by end users, I'd go with the most reputable brand if ordering now. i-Blason looks pretty solid by their website. I suspect Speck or Moshi, also good brands, might be working on something like this as well?
